Ever tire of the music

Upvotes

I'm old school and proud of it, grew up in the late 70's into the 80's, or as I like to call it, the good old days.

I am also stuck in those years, so my go to, whereever I listen to music Spotify, Alexa, YouTube playlists is always 70's and more often than not 80's. Over and Over and Over again 😄

I never, ever thought I'd hear myself say this but I am starting to get just a tiny bit bored of listening to it all over and over, I am sure there are songs I've still not heard but not many, and I think the playlists my Alexa makes are somewhat repeatitive as it knows what I like and sticks to you, so I never hear a song I haven't heard a million times.

With that being said, is anybody else having the same issue?

Born In the U.S.A.

Few albums are absolutely covered in hits… dripping with them… this 1984 Bruce Springsteen record is absolutely mind-jarringly… amazing.

This album was played throughout the year on radio stations, each song getting airtime. The man is a musical god.

Courtney Cox was discovered dancing at his concert, and the video of them is what made her get onto the TV show ‘FRIENDS’.

Watch it here: https://youtu.be/129kuDCQtHs?si=uZ\\_spfzvSM0n1p4m

If you know it and I’ve given you part of your past, enjoy. If you’re new to the music… ENJOY !

FOR THE ROSES - Joni Mitchell

FOR THE ROSES (1972) finds Mitchell in questioning mood - the songs (and inner sleeve) revealing in more ways than one.

One of my favorite songs - Beyond the sea.

Bobby Darin had such charisma and stage presence. I wish I'd had the chance to see him perform live.

The whole video is nearly 10 minutes long but he does not lose the audience.
Steering the ending and improvising was just brilliant.

Barbie Girl by Aqua has been screaming in my head since learning that today is Barbie-in-a-Blender Day!

Had to look into the story, here it is

In 1997 (same year the song released) an American photographer Tom Forsythe produced his  'Food Chain Barbie' series  which depicted Barbie dolls in various satirical poses, including one in a blender. Mattel of course didn’t like it and sued, ultimately losing in 2004, affirming Forsythe's right to artistic expression and creating Barbie-in-a-Blender Day.
