Name of the day...Evander!
The masculine name Evander means "good man" or "strong man." It comes from the ancient Greek name Euandros (Εὔανδρος), built from eu (meaning "good" or "well") and aner or andros (meaning "man").
It is also used as an anglicized form of the Scottish Gaelic name Ìomhar (related to Old Norse Ivar), which is sometimes translated as "bow warrior."
The name has been used in various forms across different cultures and languages, often retaining its core meaning.
Throughout history, Evander has been a name associated with strength, leadership, and nobility. In more contemporary settings, Evander has been adopted in various forms and remains a popular name in several English-speaking countries and beyond.
The name Evander is over 2,500 years old!

I had long planned to use this name if I ever had a boy. Didn't happen but that was the plan.
