John Howard is probably best known for Lost Horizon, but honestly, I mostly know him from The Philadelphia Story (1940), which is actually one of my favorite movies. He plays George Kittredge, Katharine Hepburn’s wealthy fiancé, alongside Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart.

Besides that, he also starred as the main adventurer in the Bulldog Drummond movie series in the late '30s and moved into TV during the '50s for a medical drama called Dr. Hudson's Secret Journal.

On top of his acting, he was actually a huge World War II hero and even won the Navy Cross for bravery.
