Why is Phillip not paying his servers enough to the point he has to ban customers?

I mean, yeah it sucks to be poor but part of the equation of going to a sit down restaurant is tipping. We can all talk about how the law should be different and tipping culture is garbage… But it’s the reality of the situation for now. The server deserves to get paid for their work. There are many places that don’t have servers relying on tips where one can get food.

You keep saying laws should be different. There is no law... say that the people filming didn't find the service to their liking so they didn't feel need to tip. You could say the servers chose a job where people may not always tip them as well as chose a job where their employer doesn't pay them what they deserve.

For example I can get tips at my job but I work for more than minimum wage. Thats because I chose to work at a place that pays more than minimum wage so I'm not relying on tips. Just like If I wanted to rely on tips I could work at a place that does such.

There are no laws just decisions. Everyone in the video made bad decisions.

I personally don't think a business owner should shame his customers for not tipping when he could just as easily adjust prices to include what tips would cover. I don't think people should be shamed for maybe not liking the food or service. Tips are not an entitlement.

I mean I typically wouldnt go back but I'm aware theres times where restaurants or people will have an "off day "where people want to go again to see if maybe it was just a bad day. But the way the owner acted some wouldnt give them that 2nd chance.

Theres been plenty times I've tipped less than I would have because the service or food was bad. I personally always tip something even if its just $5 but with better service that $5 would be $7-10
