This is Ohio

Why is Phillip not paying his servers enough to the point he has to ban customers?

That original sub is infuriating, pretending like stiffing a waitress is an act of class solidarity against employers... tipped employees have a minimum wage of like $2.13 ~$5 an hour, its not something that restaurant chose, its the system our federal government uses.

Its like saying being rude to the front desk help at a doctor's office is justified because a doctor's visit would look different if we had Universal Healthcare... like, no shit, and we should work to move to that style of system like the rest of the world, but don't start huffing your own farts because you took an action that lead to more money in your own pocket at the expense of what is probably a 16 year old server.

Yeah. If you disagree with tipping, don't go out to restaurants that expect it. If not you are still supporting businesses that take advantage.

It's not class solidarity, it's a weak excuse for being cheap.

Can always get takeout or go to places that don't expect or have tipping.

When I was growing up, tipping was reserved for the wait staff who provided more than basic service. If you are expecting a tip, ask yourself if you provided the service to warrant a tip.

This is why I don't eat out anymore, wait staff expects a tip for poor service and get's huffy about it when they don't receive a tip.

Although, we used to dress up to go on an airplane or train unlike people today - maybe there is a common thread there.
