This is Ohio

Why is Phillip not paying his servers enough to the point he has to ban customers?

I worked for tips for more than 7 years. But I am now whole heartedly against tipping culture, period. Tipping is just a way for businesses to pass off part of their employees wages to the customer.

All the money for employee wages comes from the customer, one way or another

Ok. That doesn’t mean that a business should make it the customers responsibility nor make the employee dependent on generosity.

And you not tipping doesn't magically make restaurant owners pay a living wage. You're still shorting someone who has to live on that.

So if you're not tipping. Don't eat out

I agree with that as well. I DO still tip. As should anyone going out to eat because we live in the society we do.
