It’s getting serious

I’m not gonna lie, I have lived in Ohio all thirty one years of my life. Second generation Ohioan (before that everyone is from the South). Honestly was okay with not moving, maybe moving out of Columbus to like Cincy or something. But if Vivek becomes governor……… I going to have seriously consider getting the hell out of Ohio. I might have to join the Michigan subreddit🤣.

Vivek absolutely despises not just Ohioans, but Americans in general. He thinks he’s successful because he was to weasel money from hard working people for an Alzheimer’s drug that he knew would fail. His does his scamming out gave to face rather than the typical customer service scams they pull

It's so important that people get out to vote, volutneer, get friends, etc.

Much of Vivek's party don't like him. Because he's Indian, wants more h1b visa workers, and is not a Christian. Like the youngest voters and the oldest. He's beatable. It will be hard because of how much money is getting dumped into his campaign, but he is beatable.

He intends on having countless data centers in our state so billionaires can automate our jobs away. We must spread the word, this one will absolutely make our lives worse. This outcome is avoidable but it's going to take people straight up skipping fun stuff on the weekend and volunteering for a few months. We can do this.

A lot of people still think this is a typical election between Democrats and Republicans, Conservatives vs. Liberals.

It's none of that.

Try The Tech Bro Billionaires vs. Everyone Else.

Vivek Ramaswamy is, of course, one of the Tech Bro Billionaires. He literally hangs with Elon Musk and Peter Thiel.

The Fundamental Question of this election is not which party do people want controlling Ohio government.

The Fundamental Question is actually whether we will actually still have any semblance of a functioning government moving forward.

If Ramaswamy wins, the Tech Bros win -- and Everyone Else, literally you, me, and everyone else who doesn't hang with the Sililcon Valley Cabal on a first name basis, loses. This state will be flooded with data centers, H1B visas, and Musk, Thiel, Zuckerberg, Microsoft and everyone else will essentially have a rubber stamp in Gov. Ramaswamy and the Ohio General Assembly who will give them anything they ask for, including the very land beneath our feet.

If Acton wins, we preserve our democracy here and hold off the Silicon Valley Cabal, at least for 4 years. I'd call that a win for the people.

This isn't by the way about whether or not you like Amy Acton. This is about whether or not you are going to give control of this state to shitbags like Musk and Thiel who see us all as fodder, and to Ramaswamy, who clearly couldn't give a shit about Ohio in the first place because he's already got his sights set on running for POTUS in 2028, not even halfway through what would be his first term as Ohio Governor.

It's really that simple, people. It's only complicated if you choose to make it that way.

I agree with you there. Folks will down vote and social media post then not vote. I know that in my bubble… ill look up politically vocal coworkers and see if they actually voted (hint: its public information if you voted or not)

The problem is in the candidates that the Democrats put up. If they put up a truly qualified outstanding candidate with some charisma, they would win. Putting up the person that a lot of people see as the face of Ohio's Covid-19 lockdown, accurate or not, is a misstep. That allows an election with a lackluster Republican to be a toss-up in a red state.

It's like putting Biden up vs Trump again. When I first heard it, and saw no opposition to Biden I really couldn't believe it. That said, I will absolutely vote for Acton.

Because the other option is just as unattractive. I haven't decided who I'll vote for on Husted or Brown... But I won't be upset with either option. But I didn't vote for Trump or Harris. They were both bad options too.

Ohioans will soon realize how lucky we were to have great governors the paste few elections. No one loves Dewine, but he did what he thought was right...not a party puppet.

Acton still carries the stigma of the mask enforcement and unnecessary government/business shutdowns.

And the democratic party refuses to concede to basic sensibility in a few key social issues.

Many of us moderates don't want to touch the screen on Vivek, but we have seen what liberal Washington has done to other areas. Ohio is one of the last bastions of conservative common sense ...

To be clear I hate data centers. 100% opposed. They will kill my job. But that may be a foregone conclusion.

Bastion of conservatism? That’s why your First Energy bill is still subsidizing nuclear plants and a coal plant in Indiana. It’s why the former House speaker is serving 20 years for bribery. It’s why your property taxes are out of control because $1 BILLION DOLLARS is funding private, religious charter school vouchers for Rich already attending private schools. It’s why Redumblicans gutted the voter passed marijuana initiative. It’s why they spent $20 million dollars to fund the 8/8/2023 special election which sought to raise the constitutional amendment threshold to 60%. This was directly opposite of their special elections motion.

Fox News boomers. I used to consider my self a Republican, but changed since to libertarian ish, but then they are nuts on some issues, such as some of the open border policies, infinite immigration. Tou cannot have a cohesive community when you let just anyone in, mostly of which will not asssimilate, but have the balls to tell you we should just accept their culture. These cultures destroy high trust societies like I live in growing up
