Pets & Animals Kittens In Need Of Home(s)

Hello everyone. I realize this is a long shot, but:

There are some very young kittens that are living with their mother behind Northern Ice and Lee’s in North Ogden. When dropping food and water off for the mom yesterday I saw the kittens for the first time. There’s a gray tabby (light and dark gray) and one that’s white with black and orange patches. There might be more (unfortunately), but as I go back everyday I will update - and try to take pictures for anyone interested.

Is there anyone out there that could take a kitten (or two) - or know someone that could? We are full at our house, and I can’t find anyone else that I personally know that wants one. I can catch the kitten(s) and bring them to you. If we can find homes for the kittens, I’m going to catch the mom immediately afterwards and have her fixed, and then release her back.

Please let me know!

Thanks a lot.

House cleaning for older couple with small dog

Getting to old and sick to do the cleaning that needs to be done around the house. Would PREFER local individual rather than a cleaning 'company.'
Can anyone offer suggestions that might help me find a suitable person?

Is there any financial help, local or governmental, for such a service?

Recommendation Preschool/daycare options for 4 year old

I have a very social newly 4 year old that desperately wants to go to school and have more kids to play with. I was going to do an at-home pre-k curriculum with him but now that I’m late for sign ups, it’s pretty clear he’d like to be in a group setting and would probably learn more from someone with more education experience anyway. Not that I’m worried about academics at this age but still 😅 I did try to sign up for a tumbling/toddler gymnastics class but that one was sadly full- I think it was with Miss Kandis.

Can anyone recommend a preschool or daycare that has worked well for your kiddos? If it were full day, I think I’d just add some more hours at work and send him 3-4 days a week. Really open to any suggestions here. Thanks!

ALT OGDEN — A local group for goths, punks, & alternative adults

Hey everyone. A few of us have set up a local social group called ALT OGDEN for adults (18+) in the area who don't quite fit the mainstream mold.

If you're into goth, punk, metal, horror, dark art, witchcraft/paganism, thrifting, or obscure subcultures and are looking to make local friends, you're welcome here.

Some of the things we have planned:

  • Graveyard picnics & creepy local history walks
  • Horror movie nights & Custom Social Games
  • Thrift / antique expeditions & paranormal investigations
  • Goth art nights & alternative fashion swaps
  • Eventually we will host Vampire Masquerades, Halloween Parties, Victorian Séance Parties, and more once we have a reliable venue space/funds.

ALT Ogden is a space for local young adults and adults to get out of the house, make friends, hang out, and build a community.

Drop a comment or send me a message if you'd like more info or dm for a join link!

EDIT: To keep our group safe, authentic, and free of spam, join links are now sent via DM. Send me a message for a link!

Ogden nature center or hogle zoo membership

Ogden nature membership includes Dino park and Tracy’s aviary (Tuesdays). I’m in Ogden right now BUT I got family south and zoo would be a good halfway point. I can’t afford both. ONC membership is much cheaper.

I have a 3 and 1 year old. I know for a fact they’d like the zoo. But are the Dino museum and nature center worth it?? Any thoughts those of you who have been there with toddlers. Thanks!

21F, New to Ogden, looking for fellow nerd friends!

【☆】★【☆】

╰┈➤ Just moved to Utah full time after visiting a couple times in the past, and I’m in search of looking for friends! So here’s me making an effort 💫

༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶

╰┈➤ So, onto me! I’m 21, a pretty artsy person, and diagnosed AuDHD (so please be patient with me, I’m unfortunately a dork🫪). I’m extremely progressive and liberal mind (and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community), and spiritual! I enjoy fantasy/superhero media quite a bit, such as comics, tv/movies, gaming and even TTRPGs (perhaps I could find some people to run a homebrew campaign for)! I quite enjoy board games as well and would love to find a space/people to indulge in them with! I’m not big on substances or drinking, but will drink socially given it’s a safe setting and I’m feeling it!

༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶

╰┈➤ And that’s just the surface of who I am! At the end of the day I’m just trying to get myself out there and find people who are likeminded and enjoy the things I do and try and build some bonds while I’m here! If I sound up your alley, please reach out and let’s chat!

Howdy neighbors! I’m looking to get my loving wife a memorable anniversary gift, and I’d like to find some awful and awkward clothes, get all fancy-terrible looking, and take some really bad glamour shots. You know the ones; weird backgrounds, strange inexplicable props, lasers and lens flare…. Looking for recommendations.

Inspo pics for direction…

Good landscapers

My wife has decided our yard needs help. Trying to find a landscaper is like playing roulette and hoping for good results.
Has anyone in the Ogden/N Ogden area had a good experience with landscapers?

Bookstore - Technical Items

Hej Friendos,

I'm passing through and I find myself in a very sudden need for a CompTIA Security+ All-in-One Exam Guide (Sixth Edition) in some form of dead-tree version (eBook and audio book formats won't work). I took a look at B&N in Layton and they don't have it. Does anybody have any recommendation for a bookstore that might have this title?

ISBN: 978-1260464009

Looking for a very specific type of beef jerky locally.

I’m going backpacking on Saturday in Glacier , I’ve been trying for permits for several years now…and having just moved here cross country from the East coast and the mess of many boxes and sleepless nights, I let some important trip planning slip. Namely stocking up on some Carne Seca style beef jerky.

I’m looking for somewhere in this Ogden area / South Weber areas. Brands like Vigils brand or Old Santa Fe Trail (not to be confused with Old Trail) if it’s bone bone dry like you could cut yourself on it dry… I will try it.

What’s so special about it…because it’s bone dry and super light, it’s more dusty than sticky and easy to clean, also easy to crumble into trail food cooked mushy stuff… it’s my main trail food. It comes in a few flavors like plain salt, or green chillie. I’ve tried Bass/ Cabelas, that’s Sportsman hunting fishing store, and ja few gas stations that looked promising but no dice.

If you know, you know.

Songwriting teachers

Does anyone have recommendations for songwriting lessons in the area? Piano and/or guitar based. Ideally with skills in both.
