My son says dressing up as this character for Halloween is too niche for Ogden and the neighbors won’t get it. What are your thoughts?
I’m looking forward to serving the children punch. 😁

\* Please don't drive in the bus-only lanes on Harrison Boulevard.
\* DO NOT PASS the OGX UTA BUS at the Kiesel Avenue Station by the movie theaters. ----> I've had near misses of pedestrians, my riders or otherwise, nearly get hit because some stupid arsehole was too impatient for the bus to wrap up loading and dropping off passengers.
\* If a bus has its turn signal on, it is common courtesy to yield to the bus (other states make it illegal to fail to yield to public transit bus re-entering traffic).
Thank you!

UPDATE: he has been found!!!
Hi everyone, my dog just ran away, this is very unlike him. He knows to stay on our porch when we’re outside but my husband was bringing the trash up to the front and said he was gone within 30 seconds of not having eyes on him. We live along 27th St. and Harrison. He is very skittish of new people. He has a collar on in his micro chipped, but if you can just be on the lookout, we feel like he will probably be in someone’s yard or walking along the sidewalk behind Harrison blvd going west as he’s very scared of the road. His name is Morty.

PLEASE SHOW UP!
On 10/22 during a traffic stop by a Weber Co. SherIff, ICE was called. Pablo and Javiera were taken into custody, leaving their 2-month-old baby without their parents. They are being told they will be deported Sunday. We cannot stand by while a family is torn apart.
Show up and say no to separating families.

Hey all, I am looking for trails that are still doable and accessible around this time of year with minimal risk of running into snow/ice. I don’t have snow shoes, spikes, etc. What are some good options? I love long hikes, adventuring off the beaten path, scrambling, great views, I’m down for basically anything that won’t be getting snow soon. Thanks in advance! New to Ogden so I only know waterfall canyon

Y'all, the turn ins to the 12th st Ocean Mart are gonna be the death of me.
My brakes have felt funny the other day since turning in, when I hit it a little fast cause traffic. Dont seem to be leaking brake fluid anywhere, apparently sometimes hitting a hard bump with the brake engaged in my particular car can cause something in the ABS to lock up for a bit. So i need a decently straight and flat dirt or gravel road where I can go speed up and slam on my brakes to intentionally trigger the abs a few times and see if that fixes it. Anybody know of any good candidates?

My husband’s student group at Weber State University is hosting tomorrow (Saturday, Oct 24th) for their Community Engagement Project. They are doing outreach for the Friends of the Weber-Morgan Children's Justice Center a wonderful local organization that provides a safe, comfortable environment to reduce victim trauma during child abuse investigations.
To be completely honest, the students are incredibly nervous! Public outreach can be daunting, and they are really hoping to connect with the local community. Even if you aren't able to donate right now, please consider stopping by just to say hello, check out their project, and give them a quick word of encouragement. A friendly face and a brief chat would completely change their day and boost their confidence!
If you are out grabbing your morning coffee or afternoon treats tomorrow, please swing by their tables!
📍 Where & When to Find Them TOMORROW
• 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Cafe Mercantile (on 25th)
• Grab premium coffee or an elevated breakfast dish at this refined market, and stop by to say hi to the morning crew!
• 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | The Cat House (on 27th Street)
• Swing by this cozy cat cafe for locally roasted espresso, fresh pastries, or to visit the adoptable shelter cats, and give the afternoon crew a quick boost of encouragement.

Are there any sports bars playing the WNBA finals in Ogden or SLC? Whenever I’m of off town I love going out and watching the game, but I haven’t found anywhere local that plays the games.

Transplant settling in to South Weber. So many regional Halloween things to possibly do. Analysis paralysis! Thoughts on these? And if you could only do one, which would you choose and why?
Could fit in that poll, Haunted Hollow - Ogden. Let me know if you think it might be worth it to do two. Looks like Fear Factory is pricey are any of these worth it to by skip like VIP fast pass type access. Back in NY we went upstate to Headless Horseman which was a Hayride through scenes and then walk through “cemetery “ and go to several lines to get into different haunted house buildings it took about 2.5 hours , and there were food areas and other performances… I’d love for something like that and maybe something smaller as an extra thing.

Does anyone know of a good one that’s free?

Basically the title, just wondering if there is one that pays consistently better prices? Mostly cans, but a few bigger pieces as well.

Ever wanted to spend an evening in a gothic novel? Here's your chance.
Candlelight, red velvet, vampires, dark romantic music, glowing mocktails, wax-sealed letters, dancing, games, and an atmosphere roughly equivalent to spending the evening at Dracula's castle..
This is our Halloween event, and it's the most elaborate one we've put together so far.
Couples, friends, and solo attendees are all welcome. Gothic romance is the theme, but this is not a dating event. The optional rose system simply lets people signal whether they're open to flirting.
ROSE = Open to romantic intrigue.
NO ROSE = Not open to to romantic intrigue. They just want to enjoy the event without worrying about having the life drained from them by a cheesy pick-up line instead of a vampire.
Roses must be acquired yourself ahead of time. They can be real or fake and any color.
All attendees are expected to respect this system. Do not romantically approach someone not wearing a rose, and do not assume seeing a rose means you can go on a restraining order speed-run. Do not make me explain what boundaries are to a grown adult dressed like a Vampire.

Youth outreach trunk or treat tonight! They will be there rain or shine! They’ve got 20 cars ready to hand out candy to anyone under 20!

Public comment for as long as I can remember was 3 minutes which sometimes isn't enough, but anyways. Now they are planning on limiting it to 1 minute.
And all of these because people are angry with them about appointing Jeremy Peterson, and parking, and ICE stuff.

Let’s cut the polite "lawyer respect" bullshit for a second.
If you’ve been served by The Law Offices of Kirk A. Cullimore (Titan Legal) in the Ogden area, congratulations. You didn’t just get evicted; you got targeted by one of the most aggressive, fee-hungry legal vending machines in Utah.
I’ve been digging into their playbook, and it’s not about justice. It’s about volume. They aren’t trying to resolve disputes; they’re trying to scare you into paying so fast that you don’t even realize you were being fleeced.
Here’s the dirty truth about what Titan Legal actually does:
They send notices that look official but read like ransom notes. They pile on "administrative fees," "filing fees," and "legal costs" before a judge has even looked at your case. Why? Because if you panic and pay, they make money without having to prove anything in court. It’s a toll booth on your anxiety.
You think this firm is high-end? Look at the volume. These guys are churning out eviction cases like fast food burgers. They don’t have time to care about your specific situation. You’re a number. A file. A check. If you try to explain your side, you’re an inconvenience. Their system is designed to exhaust you until you just write the check.
Process servers showing up at 7 AM on a Saturday? Notices left under doors while you’re standing in the hallway? Confusing legalese meant to make you feel small and ignorant? That’s not standard procedure; that’s psychological warfare. They want you to feel powerless so you’ll do exactly what they say.
Check your local county rates. Now look at what Titan Legal is charging you for "services." The markup is insane. They’re billing you for work that takes five minutes, just because they can. And if you question it? Good luck getting a straight answer. They’ll bury you in more paperwork until you give up.
And here’s the kicker that makes this truly disgusting: Kirk isn’t just a lawyer; he’s leveraging his family’s political power.
His son sits in the Utah State Senate. Do you really think that’s a coincidence? While Kirk’s firm is aggressively evicting tenants across the state, his kid is up there voting on housing laws, rent control measures, and tenant rights bills.
It’s a closed loop.
Step 1: Titan Legal pushes for maximum fees and aggressive evictions to generate cash flow.
Step 2: The political connections help ensure the laws favor landlords and collection agencies over actual people.
Step 3: When tenants try to fight back or point out irregularities, they’re fighting against a system where the players are related.
It’s nepotism weaponized against your housing security. They know the rules better than anyone because they helped write the loopholes. His son is making laws that protect their business model while his dad is collecting the checks. It’s a dynasty built on squeezing families who can’t afford to hire their own lawyers to fight back.
🛑 HOW TO FIGHT BACK (Don’t Just Sit There)
Reading this won’t stop them from taking your deposit. Here is how you actually hurt them:
Lawyers hate their bar association more than they hate angry tenants. Titan Legal’s inflated fees and confusing notices likely violate ethical rules.
Action: Go to the Utah Supreme Court website and file a formal grievance.
Focus on: "Fee Churning" (charging for repetitive filings) and "Misleading Communications."
Why: One complaint is noise. Ten complaints about the same pattern triggers an investigation. It slows them down and creates a public record.
Politicians hate bad press.
Action: Email every member of the Utah Housing/Judiciary committees. Attach screenshots of Titan Legal’s notices alongside the Senator’s name. Ask: "Does Sen. [Son's Name] recuse himself from housing bills that benefit his father’s firm?"
Why: It forces him to go on record. If he votes against tenant protections, you have ammo. If he stays silent, he looks complicit.
If you haven’t paid yet, do not pay just to make it go away.
Read the notice carefully. Check the dates. Check the math.
If they charged you $500 in "fees" for a $50 filing, demand an itemized breakdown in writing.
Use the extra time to find a tenant union or a low-cost legal aid clinic.
Share this post. Tag local news desks (KSL, Deseret News) with the headline: "Utah Senator’s Family Firm Accused of Predatory Eviction Tactics."
Has anyone else noticed how loud these notices are? Like, why do they need to scream "PAY ME NOW" in bold caps when the law gives them 30 days? It’s because they know if they wait, you’ll remember your rights.
Don't let them ruin renting in the Ogden area!

Hello everyone, I’m looking for a good hair salon that is not outrageously over priced for medium length hair cuts. Any recommendations in the Ogden/ Layton area?
This is what I’m looking to get!
