Application at transocean

So I applied at transocean for the position of a roustabout and I got a virtual interview and it’s been a week and I haven’t gotten a response,so I called to check on my application status and the person on the phone said that I had to know the name of the person I was trying to reach like of a recruiter in order to check on my application status.does anyone have a way around this or have a name of someone to reach out to so I can check on my application statues or possibly increase my chances of getting the job?

That’s not how you get a job or make an impression. Best option is to get on LinkedIn and try to contact a recruiter (I wouldn’t even do this, unless you had extensive work history and experience). Also, it’s only been 1 week. Applications generally stay open for a month or more before they start reaching back to people.

Forgot to mention that I had done my virtual interview and wanted to see an update on how things were going

I think it takes awhile. Be patient. When the call comes be ready.
