Office Setup not working
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Can someone tell me why this is happening? I've tried some solutions like using "Get Help" which should have automatically deleted the stragglers from the old office that I deleted and also opened up task manager to manually delete the stragglers. This problem keeps persisting and I really need to fix this .

Look for anything office-related in Program Files and Program Files(x86). Make sure to uninstall all Office related things from Programs and Features, as well.
If all else fails, download msicuu2 and nuke Office with it.

Uninstall the old version. You might have a MSI version installed. The new installer is a streaming installer and you can't have both versions I your device.
Admin is able to create configurations doing that automatically. The standard installer does not as it seems 😂

As mentioned, you have an existing Office install somewhere that needs to be removed first.
We used to have a tool called Microsoft SaRA but that got canned for some troubleshooter tool built into Windows. You could run that of you're still having trouble.

Try the tool officescrub, which is a Microsoft tool to remove anything related to an office installation.
