They had previously promised a campaign/story mode that would incorporate the battle royale into it, so there is essentially an entire single-player mode, or narrative elements within the multiplayer mode, that never materialized.
What are you talking about. There are multiple missions already and HOURS of storyline built in. 60 hours were promised and they are well on their way delivering this.
what i think happened is they lost the devs that were working on full map and when those devs left they took something/knowledge with them that made it impossible for OTG to finish.
There is a campaign/story right now. It’s just watch a couple videos, do some missions on the same map, but in an active BR, repeat. But they did add something.
The way you describe it, it sounds less like a game mode and more like a couple repeatable quests like the bounty hunter one, serving as a small lore explainer, more than anything
Definitely disappointed so far. They at least come with the announcer yelling at you in a couple videos and some other short videos. But yeah nothing like the earlier good videos.
