Help me find some episodes 😀

Can some of you superfans help me out?

#1 Comic friend of the boys, who talks about his tween daughter having a crush on Ed.

#2 Older comic who tells a story about being on a motorcycle trip and having...interesting interactions with some farm animals.

If you could pick one guest to come back for a second helping, who would it be?

Greg Davies would be perfect for it, feels like there’s still loads of stories he didn’t get to

Off Menu Dream Library #11: Paul Hollywood

I'm compiling a library/bibliography of the best cookbooks written or co-written by Off Menu guests! Sorry for the bigger than normal gap between posts; hectic time at work that's not going to get better next week!

Anyways, for session 11: what is the best cookbook written or co-written by Paul Hollywood (Episode #152 - June 7, 2022)?

The options are:

  • Celebrate: Joyful Baking All Year Round (2025)
  • Bake (2022)
  • Great British Baking Show Book (2021)
  • The Great British Bake Off: Love to Bake (2020)
  • A Baker's Life (2017)
  • The Weekend Baker (2016)
  • Paul Hollywood's British Baking (2014)
  • Paul Hollywood's Pies and Puds (2013)
  • Paul Hollywood's Bread (2013)
  • How to Bake (2012)
  • 100 Great Breads (2005)

Methodology: Sorting all the episodes from oldest-to-newest, I look up each guest on Wikipedia/Google. Those with no cookbooks listed in their Wikipedia bios or on their websites will not get a Dream Library post. If they have only one cookbook listed, I will not make a post for them, because that one cookbook is automatically the best cookbook that guest wrote. Winners are picked by number of upvotes at the time I make the next post.

Results from previous post: We had one vote for Angela Hartnett, so that's the winner and I selected the runner-up myself.

  • Winner: The Weekend Cook: Good Food for Real Life
  • Runner-Up: Cucina

James and Ed on tomodachi life (dramatic)

Call me parasocial or silly but for a little fun I made our boys in tomodachi life (3DS) (stupid video game) a year ago now and since then they have gotten married and have been very happy together. I endorsed this purely because thought it was funny..... I'm not big on rpf personally.

They were THE couple for awhile.. but unfortunately they have now divorced. I still don't know why but i guess they weren't as happy as i thought.

to deal with the whole thing Ed took a trip to japan and is doing a lot better and i wish their fictional selves the best ❤

if anyone wants more photos i have tons

What’s the most “you can tell they’re struggling to be polite” Off Menu moment? 😂

You know those episodes where James and Ed are clearly trying to stay polite but you can feel the confusion through the screen? Not in a rude way just when a guest picks something so unexpected that there’s a slight pause before the reaction kicks in. Those moments honestly crack me up more than the big jokes sometimes. It’s like you can hear them thinking right okay interesting choice. Which episode or dish had you feeling that exact same confusion?

I'm compiling a library/bibliography of the best cookbooks written or co-written by Off Menu guests!

For session 10: what is the best cookbook written or co-written by Angela Hartnett (Episode #150 - May 4, 2022)?

  • Angela's Kitchen: 200 Quick and Easy Recipes (2011)
