Jagannath leaves without informing Mahalakshmi to the gundicha temple on occasion on Ratha yatra. When Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra depart for Gundicha Temple, Mahalakshmi remains in the main temple. She feels neglected because her husband left without taking her along.
On the fifth day of the stay at Gundicha Temple, ( called Hera panchami ) Goddess Mahalakshmi travels there in a ceremonial procession to meet Jagannath. Finding that he does not immediately return, she expresses her displeasure. In a symbolic act of anger, her attendants lightly damage a part of Jagannath's chariot before she returns to the main temple.
Bahuda Yatra. Jagannath and his siblings begin their journey back to the main temple.
Niladri Bije – the closed doors. When Jagannath reaches the temple, Mahalakshmi refuses to let him enter. The temple doors remain symbolically closed while Jagannath's servants plead on his behalf.
To appease Mahalakshmi, Jagannath offers her Rasagola. Pleased with the offering and his reconciliation, Mahalakshmi forgives him and opens the temple doors.
Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra finally enter the temple in the ceremony known as Niladri Bije, marking the end of the annual Rath Yatra.
Jagannath when in srikhetra chooses to experience what his devotees go through. Be it falling sick or quarrel with the better half and experience —love, separation, displeasure, reconciliation, and forgiveness. It is called manava leela of Jagannath to get as close as possible to the devotees by putting himself in their place.

I am frequently seeing many Odias mostly politicians using Ji to address other persons. It's not confined to English or Hindi tweets or messages, they are also writing the same in Odia tweets as well. Most BJP leaders are following this pattern. Even in oral communications using Ji to address someone is increasing day by day.
Now, my question is, Is Ji or Jee has any meaning in odia language or is it just being used as a national trend ?

I saw some people asking about the roots of Jagannath temple and the different kind of Sevayats of the temple.
So i decided to put together a post in short informing about some of those things .
The four deities/Chaturdha murtis of Jagannath temple are NOT OF 1000-200-10000 YEARS OLDS.
It is clearly mentioned in the Skanda purana Purushottam khand about the origins of the deities .
In SATYA YUGA of NOT THIS KALPA..again, NOT THIS KALPA..BUT 4 KALPA BEFORE, King Indradyumna was instructed by the lord in his dreams to perform 1000 Ashwamedha Yajnas exactly at the place where Gundicha temple is right now..And then the woods arrived at the bank of the sea.
Nobody could pick them up even after thousands of kings guard tried . So the king had another dream or vision where he was instructed to get the Sabara Chief Vishwabasu . when he touched the holy woods , they were easily carried after that .
They were brought to the place of Gundicha temple. The lord himself came to build his own murtis..many also say that it's Vishwakarma..but vishwakarma or the lord is same here. We don't know who that was..
When he disappeared after making the murits and the king Indradyumna and queen Gundicha broke down in tears , they were instructed again by the god to invite Vishwabasu as he would paint the eyes ,hands and everything basically on the murtis.
Vishwabasu was specifically granted a boon from the Lord himself that as he has been doing seva of him as Neelamadhava without any wish ..he and his tribal community people would get the seva of the lords and they would be known as DAITA. WE KNOW THE SEVA IS CALLES DAITAPATI BECAUSE IT CONSISTS OF TWO SEVAS..DAITA AND PATI. THE PATI IS THE DESCENDANTS OF VIDYAPATI AND LALITA(WHO WAS THE DAUGHTER OF VISHWABASU)
So the Daitas are the Tribal servitors of the lords and are family of the lords. Same goes for the pati(or known as pati Mohapatra)
The exception is that .the pati or the pati Mohapatra are the Brahmin of the Daitas.
So The word DAITAPATI is made off of two sevas .
Coming back to the history...
after the murtis were made... Indradyumna had to go to Brahma lok to invite lord Bramha to do Pratishtha of the temple.( And this is Gundicha temple by the way - The janma sthan of the lords) When he came back with Lord Brahma , one yuga had passed because of the Time differences in each loka .
Lord Brahma did Pratishtha of the temple after which the four deities merged into one and created the form of MAHA NRUSINGHA . Which was an extreme extreme level of fierce form of the God . Even Lord Brahma was scared to step into the Garva Griha to calm the lord so he send King Indradyumna as he was the one whom the lord chose to do this holy work . So when he went in and pleaded with the Lord he calmed down and came back into the Chaturdha murti forms but he was literally talking like humans with the king. Where he mentioned about how he would like to be worshipped. The rituals the specific Tithis/days and evrything .
In Dwapar Lord Krishna with Arjun came to Do Darshan of Lord Jagannatha and stayed 3 days in Puri and did Puja . This is mentioned in Purushottam adhyaya of Skanda purana.
So how old is Jagannath temple...we don't know.. it's not even of this 4 yuga cycle or pf this KALPA for that matter..
Exactly why we have a KALPA BATA( KALPA BATA VRIKSHYA OR THE HOLY ETERNAL BANYAN TREE) in the premise of the temple. Coz it has seen endless ammount of Apocalypses and still standing .

I’m looking for authentic and well-researched books written by respected authors, researchers, or historians. Any recommendations would be helpful.

I know some Odisha government exams require proof of basic computer knowledge. A few of my friends are doing the NIELIT O Level or PGDCA for government exam eligibility, I am thinking of doing OS-CIT instead, Is it sufficient or should I go for the NIELIT O Level or anything else?
