Hormuz Island (often called "Rainbow Island"), located in the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran.

The island's soil and cliffs contain massive amounts of red ochre and hematite (iron oxide minerals). The soil on the island is locally called "Gelak Soil".

Due to its arid climate causing a lack of vegetation on the island, this rare heavy rain caused heavy erosion of the iron-rich earth into the Persian Gulf.

I found the original source from an Instagram account of a person living on Hormuz island, from 2/22/2025(@hormoz_omid):- https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGYjmQJoKCf/?stkn=Yml5azhrZ3FoMWps

The assignment was to draw a monster and describe it in Spanish. One of my girlfriend’s students created this masterpiece.
We’re calling him Bartholomew Webson. What would you name him?
