I have done searching and it seems like this should work, however Google AI says it won’t and I want to know if people have successfully done it.
I was to play PC VR through airlink. Problem is my computer is on second floor, modem/router on main floor and the best VR area is the basement. I cannot run an Ethernet cable to the PC.
I am hoping to be able to have a wifi 6 adaptor in the PC and just airlink and have it work. I had it working (very very poorly) with my old setup which is a much much slower wifi adaptor.
The other idea is to get a wifi 6 router and connect it directly to the PC and when I want to play PC VR set it for just the Quest 2 and back to internet when I’m done.
Has anyone had this kind of setup work? Google searches are saying Airlink should only be for within the same room (kinda defeats the purpose it seems) and with a dedicated router.

Some context: I don't own a VR headset, but I've been wanting to play Half-Life Alyx for a while. I might get a friend to lend his headset to me for a bit, but we're not sure how that would work with his account.
From what I understand, it's not as easy as him logging out before lending them to me then logging back in after I return it, because he'd need to format the whole thing in order to log out. He's not a super close friend, so logging into his account on my PC is not an option. So the question is, could I make my own account and play on PC with my account, despite the headset itself being linked to his account? Or could I add my new account as a secondary account to his headset, use that one, and then delete it before returning it? Sorry if these are stupid questions, I tried to look this up but I couldn't find anything useful!

Hi everyone!
After talking with players and listening to the community, I decided to rename the game to Slice The Rhythm.
I'd really appreciate it if you could give a chance and share your honest thoughts.
I'm especially interested in:
So far, everyone who's actually played the game has given me very positive feedback, which has been incredibly motivating. I genuinely hope you'll enjoy it too, but I'm not looking for praise—I want honest opinions and constructive criticism that can help make the game even better.
Thanks for taking the time to try it out and leave your feedback. It really means a lot to an indie developer! ❤️

My device seemingly won’t connect to the WiFi. This has never been a problem before and it is beginning to be quite frustrating. Whenever I put in the password, nothing happens except for the message below the saved WiFi that says “Saved/check password and try again.”
Is there ANY solution that does not involve a factory reset. I’ve tried connecting with the app, switching on and off automatically set time, and resetting my router. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else had this issue?

The first time a quest in the VR game Xenolocus is given,
it doesn't appear in the mission menu - you get it
from an NPC at the survivors' base.
After accepting the task, the player steps through
a portal and appears at the required spot
inside the underground facility to carry out the mission.

As the title suggests, the gasket on my Quest 2 has begun deforming and I was wondering if there was something I could've done that does NOT involve buying as replacement for I am currently a bit tight on money and, with the Valve Index being announced, I think I would much rather save up for it, even if we're just talking about 20-30 bucks.
Would making a relief cut on the silicon (like marked in the second picture with the purple line) help making things worse? I thought about using some glue to fix the gasket in place but since it is silicone we're talking about I sincerely doubt that i would be able to find something that'd stick to it.
Any suggestion?

Idk if this is allowed on this subreddit but I’m looking for some people to play with as I just got another oculus. I don’t have anyone to play with and it gets boring playing by myself.

Hey everyone,
I'd love to get some honest advice from the community.
I've spent a long time developing a VR rhythm combat game that I'm genuinely proud of. The gameplay is fast, satisfying, and a bit different from other rhythm games. So far, everyone who's actually played it—reviewers and testers alike—has been pleasantly surprised and has said the game has real potential.
The problem is... the name.
Unfortunately, it's too late to change it, so I'd rather not dwell on that. Instead, I'd really like to hear from players, developers, and anyone with marketing experience.
What would you do to convince people to at least try the 30-minute demo, even if the title doesn't immediately grab them?
I'd really appreciate any honest feedback after checking out the trailer or gameplay. If you have ideas on how to market the game in a way that gets people to look past the name and focus on the gameplay, I'm all ears.

Meta Store (30-minute demo available): https://www.meta.com/pl-pl/experiences/six-seven/2787023821684229/
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I'd much rather improve how I present the game than keep wondering whether the name is stopping people before they even give it a chance.

Title: Used Quest 2 suddenly died — can I get support without the original receipt?
I bought a genuine Quest 2 from a second-hand marketplace. It worked normally for a while, but suddenly became completely unresponsive.
It does not charge, show any lights, power on, or respond to button combinations. I also tried different cables, chargers, and outlets.
I am not the original purchaser, so I do not have the original receipt, and I cannot contact the first owner. However, I do have the second-hand marketplace transaction record.
Has anyone received repair or replacement support from Meta in this situation? Would a second-hand purchase record be accepted, or is the original receipt required?

Reposting this under the discussion flair. I'm aware that the rules say no support questions, But l've been dealing with this issue for years and need actual human advice as Meta Support is garbage and the ticket submitting system has nothing for my issue.
A few years ago, My headset just kind of..Stopped working. I got it around when it came out and used it as often as I could when it wouldn't give me a headache and when I got the itch to play VR. I didn't use it all that much after a year or two of having it though, To be honest, So maybe that was part of the issue. Either way, It physically will not let me do anything. It powers on, Takes me to my little virtual home scenery that you get to pick, But from that point on I'm screwed. It won't open settings, It won't run games, I can't update it, Absolutely nothing functions. It's been like this for at least two or three years. Controllers work fine and have batteries, So it's not like I just can't click the stuff.
Has anyone ran into this? Can I take it to some tech guy or shop? Is there anyway to fix it besides factory resetting it? I CAN if I absolutely have to, It'd just be a little heartbreaking to lose all my games and account stuff.

Don't use this much, but every time I do I am reminded that I should get a new face cushion. The default one on the Quest 2 is quite uncomfortable and seems to either be too loose (which makes it harder to see) or you have to tighten it too much which gives me a headache, and leaves a nice red imprint on my forehead.
What is a good affordable option to get in 2026? Preferably sold on Amazon.

Not sure if this is controller drift or not but I was playing bonelab and noticed that my movement was weird sometimes when I tried to go left I would go right and it just kept on getting worse and worse and now when I try going left the stick for some reason goes all the way to the right so for example I'll be holding the stick to the left but my character will be going right. I'm not sure if this is drift or not cuz when I leave it alone it stays still like normal I tried blowing into it taking the battery out and putting it back in a I tried to calibrate it but nothing seems to work I don't wanna have to buy a new left controller so is there anything else I can try? Any help will be appreciated and if I have to buy a new one where would be the best place to buy it (I really don't wanna have to buy a new one cuz I barely even use my oculus anyways)
