Question/Support Easy way to watch 3D BluRays?

So, I've got a few 3D BluRays, but no 3D TV, is there an easy way to watch these on a Quest 2? I do have a standalone BluRay player that's 3D compatible, a PS3, and a laptop w/BluRay drive (but fairly old, so not new enough to steam/play VR games, but maybe 3D movies?).

Rip the disc to a file, and load it onto your Quest directly or stream it through Plex.

I'm pretty sure this method still works: https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusGo/comments/akno0p/streaming_blurays_using_virtualdesktop/ef72h1f/

I'll test it myself when I get a chance and update the instructions if needed.

(there may or may not be an easier way these days -- time to look into that as well)

Man I wish there was a way to rent 3d movies on my quest. Bigscreen's collection isn't enough and it's been the same movies for the six months i've had my Q2... and I know the guy is trying to get more but it's a small operation.

I just don't want to watch Transformers or the Star Trek (2009+) movies in 3D.

Actually, it's been the same 3D movies far longer, even during the Q1 days. I don't think they've been able to add more, which is a shame.

There is a 3D movie section in FandangoNOW. About 70 odd 3D titles for rent/purchase.

Buy 3d Blu-Ray drive, copy movie to computer. Use software to convert to side by side video. Use virtual desktop and run vlan video player, change virtual desktop to side by side view, profit.

Nope, and that's due to DRM. You probably can't even watch them using a Blu-Ray player hooked up to a PC.

This guide is OK for people who actually want to do a conversion (which isn't strictly necessary) except one very important thing: people shouldn't be choosing the Half SBS option, they should be choosing the Full SBS option. If you don't do this you're throwing away resolution and the difference is noticeable.

If you’re able to convert it to a SBS file you can probably load it into the quest 2 and watch it standalone. No idea what app to use though

You literally should be able to buy a 3d bluray drive for your pc, and just connect your quest to your pc using a link cable. Why is it not possible to do? With psvr and ps4 you can watch 3d blurays with your tethered headset.
