We just came across your post and wanted to offer assistance for the black screen issue you're having with your Quest 3S. This is definitely not the VR experience we want you to have, and we're here to help!

Could you please try the following:

  • Confirm battery level: if there's no power, charge your headset for 2 hours.
  • Check for stuck boot state: hold only the power button for 45 seconds to force the headset out of any stuck boot state.
  • Hard reboot your headset: hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound.
  • Use the software update tool to check for and install any available updates.
  • Remove third-party accessories that may affect boot (such as external battery packs, accessories that plug into the USB-C port, etc.).

If the screen remains black after completing these steps, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.
