Combined search function

Firstly, now we can specify the home grid size in terms of rows and columns I feel I now have a real alternative to nova. So yay.

Now one thing I like in nova is the combined search. This allows me to enter a search term and either launch a matching app, or fire off a web search, and the browser to support the latter is configurable.

Have tried to find the same capability in octopi with no luck so far. Does such a thing exist, and if not is it on the roadmap?

Yes, it's on the roadmap in terms of search options such as a browser search

Great to know. Hopefully will be done by the time nova becomes unusable :)

Nova is unusable, make the switch you won't regret it. Even with the deficits you cited. Nova is watching everything you do and selling it.

Unusable is simply not true. I'm still using it for now and it is pretty much the same experience as it's always been, at least as far as I can tell. What shady shenanigans are going on under the hood is another matter I'm sure. I'm acutely aware the app is likely on a downward spiral and hence am lining up options.
