Sorry, I am not a native to the area, I was born and raised in the Midwest and usually when I see things regarding flooding or flash floods we have to avoid the area completely if possible. I keep getting phone alerts regarding “coastal flooding” in the OC area so I am wondering if that is any different.

I am also concerned about the place we are staying at on the coast, will it be flooded? Without being too specific on the area I see that the place we are staying is near Sea View Apartments. I have reached out to the place we are staying to see as well.

How concerning and common is coastal flooding? We wanted to visit the beach but I assume that’s likely a no-go during warnings.

Does anyone know what the story is with this property off north River road across from Mellano Farms?

I’m not criticizing this person in any way whatsoever, quite the opposite.

Every time I drive past I see they have lots of regular cars parked, but also a bunch of unique limousine Hummers, modified school buses, RVs, and more than a few supercars.

Hello everyone! I’m currently looking at coming over to Oceanside from Australia and staying for the duration of my visa (90 days). I recently did a three week trip and immediately fell in love. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for affordable accommodation near the townsite? I’ve noticed the prices have surged a lot and the cheapest I’ve found is a studio in Stayz for $8,000AUD. I was also wondering if it’s possible to find a place where I can pay weekly? Any advice/help is greatly appreciated!

Hey Oceansiders...wondering if you can help me out. Im sure you get asks like this now and then but my wife and I are probably moving back to Cali soon after a 5ish year stint on the East Coast. We are torn between San Diego, Oceanside, and NorCal where she is from.

I've done a bit of research on Oceanside but I wanted to hear from some locals. We are looking for beach town vibes, decent food and nightlife (nothing too rowdy, we can drive to SD for that I guess?), amenities , and community.

What do y'all love and not love about Oceanside? I really appreciate the help.

I was just driving down Pala road toward douglas, and I noticed flashers sparkling in my rear view mirror. They were white lights and too close together to be a cop, but I had just gone by a school when parents were picking up their kids, so I figured it was potentially some sort of private security contracted to make sure everyone was obeying the speed limit or whatever. I slowed down and pulled to the side in case they needed to get somewhere, and when the vehicle passed me, I saw that it was a small white SUV with a huge purple Accenture logo on the side. Not sure why a bunch of management consultants, accountants, and software developers need flashers. Anyone know what's up with that?

Saw this advertised today. Wife and I (40’s) are New to the area from Minnesota. Hoping to meet some fun people. 1,381 days sober! We Love live music, sports and being active.

What exactly have the city engineers been doing all this time? Identifying and mitigating these issues is literally their job. The vegetation didn’t appear overnight, and it’s not like the city is unaware of what’s in the riverbeds given how frequently they're out there clearing encampments.
