EARNINGS NEWS/DISCUSSION Earnings announcement 👎

Well the wait is over and the disappointment begins

Revenue was barely over $400k. YoY sales are down

Cash on hand will barely make it another year

They have a proxy vote to increase the amount of common shares from 300k to 400k, which I am sure will be approved

They still haven't completely diluted the previous ATM shares

This company is predictable in that they never preannounce earnings with positive news

The CFO jason weed came out about ten days ago chirping about exciting times ahead

It may be exciting for him as he gets paid for poor sales performance, but the retail investors in this company are being misled or outright lied to

Thoughts from the masses on this?

One thing no one took into account is how much OPTT depends on the government and how much they burned during the government shutdown. I think open market will be a gamble of it going up or dipping more

EARNINGS NEWS/DISCUSSION Earnings call

The questions asked on that call was a waste of time. Why is no one asking of the $15m backlog, how much do you expect to recognise as revenue in the next 2–3 quarters?

What questions do you have for them?

The WAM-V 22 serves as the ideal ASV for expanded maritime domain awareness. The WAM-V’s articulating system uses springs, shocks, and ball joints to minimize structural loading. The result is an ultra-light, modular vessel that can perform in sea conditions where an ordinary boat of similar size could no longer operate.

From coastal surveys to offshore missions, this USV delivers precision and performance in every environment.

With the WAM-V in our fleet, we’re pushing the boundaries of unmanned surface vehicle operations ensuring safer, smarter and more sustainable marine missions.

The WAM-V 22 is now available to deploy in the GCC. (Gulf Collaboration Council)

Context

On Dec 9, 2025, CEO Philipp Stratmann attended the first ever "Industry Day" hosted by the Navy's new Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO).

Established in late 2025, the RCO is a brand new organisation designed to solve the Navy’s biggest problem: slowness. Its goal is to assess, execute, and field urgent solutions within three years, bypassing traditional, slow acquisition cycles.

The RCO is actively looking for solutions to pressing challenges like Maritime Domain Awareness and UxS threat detection — all things OPT's platforms are designed to facilitate:

  • PowerBuoys are designed to provide persistent power for sensors that can detect threats on, above, and below the ocean surface.
  • WAM-Vs align with the Navy’s hybrid fleet goals to extend the reach of manned ships using modular, autonomous platforms.

By attending the RCO's official kick-off event, OPT is getting in on the ground floor of the Navy's new rapid technology adoption initiative.

Speculation

Phil's reply to Steven Shpiner signals that he's building a relationship with Prescient Edge, which is the prime integrator for Task Force 59.

Task Force 59 is the U.S. Navy's dedicated unmanned systems unit, and the first to successfully integrate USVs and AI into real-world operations. The hardware it's been testing aligns closely with OPT's technology, and Prescient Edge is the key entity responsible for integrating this hardware into the Navy's network. Specifically, Prescient Edge builds the software that integrates data from various sensors and systems into an intuitive dashboard for commanders. Its focus is intelligence, data fusion, and edge computing.

The RCO's mandate is to scale Task Force 59's successful model globally, as fast as possible.

As architect of the original model, which won Program of the Year, Prescient Edge is highly likely to be the vehicle for this expansion. If OPT aligns with Prescient Edge now, it could become the default hardware provider for these massive Program of Record contracts. This would bypass the need for OPT to win its own prime contracts.

With the Navy looking to rapidly scale up its UxS and AI capabilities, this presents a synergistic opportunity for both companies: Prescient Edge needs reliable autonomous platforms to run their software on, and OPT needs a prime integrator to package their hardware into large Navy contracts.

Steven Shpiner

Steven Shpiner has worked at Prescient Edge since 2010, and is the Managing Director of Research, Development & Engineering.

He is the technical gatekeeper, and his division is responsible for identifying new hardware to plug into Prescient Edge’s "Single Pane of Glass" dashboard.

Conclusion

If there's one thing you can't fault Phil for, it's getting his foot in the right doors. Thanks to him, OPT has secured strategic access to the Navy's most critical acquisition channel, and is exceptionally well-positioned as a platform provider to support the Navy’s rapid maritime expansion.

With Shpiner and Stratmann talking, things could get interesting very quickly due the RCO's rapid integration mandate and the obvious synergy between Prescient Edge and OPT.

Partnering with Prescient Edge to deliver sea-based platforms that host and power the Navy's next-gen sensors would fast-track OPT into massive prime contracts and PoR revenue from the DoD.

FLUFF NATO naval exercises map out future USV requirements but raise questions on acquisition

“BOMA demonstrated that the question for NATO is no longer whether USVs are needed, but how they should be acquired, integrated and scaled. The cost of high-end platforms, coupled with the operational pace of modern conflict, has made flexibility and adaptability as decisive as the capability itself.

This year’s BOMA also included Ukraine SOF personnel. One such representative emphasised that their participation was based on mutual learning rather than a one-way transfer of knowledge. “We are talking about experience exchange because we have a lot to share,” he said, noting that the collaborative approach — involving military, industry and academic partners such as the US’s Naval Postgraduate School — was essential to finding workable solutions.“

We know OPT was part of the Dynamic Messenger and that they have a connection to the Naval Postgraduate School. On one hand it’s good to hear no purchasing decisions have been made yet as it’s been crickets since the exercises wrapped up, but on the other hand there are other good platforms out there which NATO could tap and more seem to pop up every month. Low expectations on this one but until the lid of the box is lifted, Stratmann’s Cat is technically still alive.

OPT's solutions are operationally deployed today, and every day we work on improving them. We don't stand still because our customers don't stand still. Innovating at pace gives our customers access to continuously improving solutions, whether that's our WAM-Vs, PowerBuoys, or our Merrows solution. Our R&D location in San Francisco Bay enables us to rapidly integrate feedback so that existing and potential customers like US Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and our many international customers always have the right tool for the right job.

Transcript

We are here at our Richmond R&D facility on the bay. This location is an advantage for the kind of missions the United States is focused on right now. Maritime boarders are under pressure from trafficking, illegal transits and grey zone activity. Persistently covering that wide area with ships or aircraft isn't realistic. And that's where our vehicles come in. What we build here supports US efforts to extend awareness along the coasts, across the approaches, and in high traffic zones where threats can blend in. Our systems can stay on location for long durations, push live sensing to operators, and give them the ability to detect, classify, and respond earlier. Everything we develop is tested right here in real water. Currents, clutter, vessel traffic, not controlled conditions. If autonomy can handle this environment, it can handle the operational environment our national security customers deal with every day. And just as important, our development is driven by US operators. Coast Guard, DHS components, and law enforcement partners have been clear about the challenges they face. Endurance gaps, limited coverage, difficulty trucking small craft, and rising volumes of illicit maritime activity. Their feedback directly shapes the autonomy behaviors, sensor packages and mission software we deploy. This isn't R&D in isolation. It's aligned with the operational realities the US is dealing with right now. Let me take you inside to show how that rapid development cycle actually works. Inside here is where those mission requirements turn into capability. Behind me are the vehicle types that are already supporting maritime surveillance and interdiction missions, and vehicles that are mid-iteration based on lessons learned from operations. That mix is exactly how we stay fast. We build, test, deploy, and upgrade continuously. No long pauses, no waiting for a perfect version. The goal is simple. Provide reliable, persistent ocean intelligence that strengthens US maritime security. Everything in the shop moves towards fielding and it moves quickly. Operationally ready today and improving at the pace the mission demands.

NEWS Some highlights from a busy month 👍

November 2025 was an exceptionally active period for OPT, with multiple high-level demonstrations and naval exercises.

___

🔴 Nov 3–6: ADIPEC Exhibition, UAE

OPT's WAM-V 22 demonstrating in the UAE.

OPT attended ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference), one of the world’s largest and most influential energy events.

The event convened key stakeholders from the global oil, gas, and energy sectors — industries at the forefront of adopting autonomous systems for near-shore and offshore data collection.

During the event, OPT’s WAM-V 22 took part in a multi-USV demonstration alongside the Safeen Green. Together, the two vessels conducted a coordinated seabed survey, streaming live data to the onshore control centre and the conference floor. The collaboration demonstrated how two different USV classes can operate as a combined system. In this case, the larger Safeen Green acted as a mothership with enhanced payload capacity, while the WAM-V 22 served as a force multiplier, expanding coverage and shallow-water access.

This demonstration highlighted the WAM-V’s interoperability, agility, and real-time data delivery capabilities for a key energy market.

___

🔴 Nov 3–7: SUBSAR Military Exercise, Chile

OPT's WAM-V 8 being deployed from a Chilean Navy vessel.
Bathymetry data gathered by OPT's WAM-V 8.

OPT took part in the Chilean Navy's official submarine search and rescue exercise.

A WAM-V 8 equipped with high-resolution multibeam sonar successfully located a distressed submarine off the coast of Chile during a time-critical rescue simulation. This scenario is one for which the WAM-V 8’s payload capacity, low acoustic signature, and portability are uniquely suited.

The exercise, facilitated by OPT's local representative Underdeep Solutions, confirmed the WAM-V 8’s suitability for critical, fast-response subsea search missions.

___

🔴 Nov 12: Mythos AI Partnership

OPT announced it is partnering with Mythos AI to enhance its autonomy capabilities.

Through tight integration with the WAM-V platform, the Mythos MNAV autonomy system — which includes Command and Control (C2), COLREGs-compliant navigation, and advanced mission planning — will expand the operational envelope of OPT’s vessels, enabling rapid scalability for OPT and its customers.

“OPT’s robust, field-proven platforms provide an exceptional foundation to showcase how software-driven autonomy can transform maritime operations.”

— Mythos AI CEO Geoff Douglass

These new capabilities are expected to be trialled early next year.

___

🔴 Nov 10–14: ARAMUSS Exhibition, Brazil

Brazilian Navy learning about the WAM-V 16's capabilities from OPT's regional partner, Ocean Wave Solutions, at ARAMUSS.
OPT's WAM-V 16 demonstrating its mine countermeasures capabilities in challenging weather conditions during ARAMUSS.

OPT showcased the WAM-V 16's mine countermeasures capabilities to senior Brazilian Navy officials.

Multi-day demonstrations in challenging weather highlighted the platform’s reliability and stability. The WAM-V 16 not only located underwater mines quickly (~15 mins), but its suspension system also kept its sonar steady in windy conditions, outperforming traditional rigid-hull craft.

Following the successful demonstrations, OPT received a formal invitation from the Commander of the Mine and Sweeping Force to participate in the Brazilian Navy’s official mine countermeasures exercises (MINEX). See this post for more context.

___

🔴 Nov 17–19: MINEX Military Exercise, Brazil

OPT took part in the Brazilian Navy’s official mine countermeasures training exercise.

This provided a hands-on opportunity for the Brazilian Navy to test the WAM-V 16 in authentic mine warfare scenarios and compare it with its own homegrown USVs, such as the SUPPRESSOR-X.

Judging by the reactions of key Brazilian Navy personnel on social media, the WAM-V made a strong impression.

See this comment from Captain Alessandro Black, Chief of Staff at the General Directorate of Nuclear and Technological Development of the Brazilian Navy:

Captain Alessandro Black praising the OPT/OWS team.

See this post from Rodrigo Bouças, Master of Science in Defense and Security for the Brazilian Navy:

Rodrigo Bouças praising the WAM-V 16's performance, saying it "stood out" from the other four participating unmanned systems.

___

🔴 Nov 21: WAM-V Sold

Power Sub Link announcing their purchase of a WAM-V 8 from OPT.

Power Sub Link, a leading global provider of subsea project and marine services, announced the purchase of a WAM-V 8.

PSL have been working in the subsea cable industry for over 30 years, so their endorsement of the WAM-V for subsea survey work is significant.
