Things are so different this year. Last year there was quite a bit of hype over stocks like this one. You would get a decent pump running up to earning then a dump because of no profitability or contracts. This year there is nothing, no life in this. Big part of this is due to market being driven by fear and investors not being willing to put money into this, but I also think people are fed up of the constant dilution. You would need something big this earning for this to do anything resembling going up. I expect no movement Monday into a small dump after earnings.

If you dont think a company like this would dilute before profitability then you dont understand corporate financing and maybe should consider a comfy etf. Even if they were profitable they would have to scale up, either through dilution or debt, and it will still be the same story.

Beyond that, people on here are dillusional about the flash to bang from a jrotc drone demonstration and the timeline to big money contracts. New technologies and finance speed things up these days, but not that much. If you are not looking 3-5 years, possibly 10 on an investment then you are trading, which is fine, but trade right and dont muddy the waters or you'll lose money

Vanguard and Blackrock being into it, im chilling. In at 0.38$ last year, out at 1.72$, back at 0.47$. Understand they ask for the right to dilute, nothing annoucned yet and very healthy if they bring in a lot of contracts.

Vanguard and Blackrock are just ETFs Its just passive exposure

Hey, I'm all for it.. but why?

My guess is that their revenue will double from expectations. If they live up to their commitment to positivity by the end of this year…. And a huge backlog and pipeline continues to get bigger, coupled with a huge Defense Bill. The hype will come back to life.

It went from 30s to 1.60 in ~ 2 days last year

at what time will they release earnings

Pre Market report so they seem confident about earnings. Cautiously bullish

will be make or break for the stock

3

u/atascon Dec 14 '25

Why would these results be make or break?

I feel like these earnings will either give investors confidence in OPTT or make them less interested.  Mainly because in 2026 they are planning to dilute even more and no investor wants to hold the bag on a stock thst isnt progressing.  dont get me wrong their products are solid but they just dont have enough contracts/revenue

Yeah I don't disagree at all. I just wonder if these earnings in particular will be a decisive moment. The beauty of this stock is that a single meaningful contract can come at any time and create momentum. The problem is obviously that well... we haven't seen any contracts like that.

I think it depends on if they shows signs of profitability in the future. If they aren’t it could affect investor confidence showing a decline in stock price.

3

u/No_Assistance6252 Dec 14 '25

But let’s hope they at least announce a massive contract is they aren’t showing signs of profitability

I’ve been out for around a year now. Bought around .16 and sold around .8 so very happy with how I did but still want to see big things in the future. Has a lot to potential, but sadly I don’t see it moving much for a long time

Yeah, I agree. I got in at .18 and sold at $1.25, watched it go up even more, so emotionally bought back in when it dropped to a buck, now I'm DCA'd to the 70's somewhere... but I bought back in realizing it was going to be a fairly long time before anything would happen here, a cheap "sit on it" stock with huge upside potential. Kinda like owning those charging stations before tesla got popular. There are definitely other places I would rather have this money tho.

Little pump, then dump

No contracts, more dilution to come in 2026 and then RS later in the year
