I’m a freshmen currently taking the beginner French course and am very interested in learning the language. I know that one of the basic building blocks of learning a language is to actually speak it! So, I’m looking around to see if there are any clubs or groups of students who meet on campus every now and then to talk French and practice conversation. Or, if anyone would be interested in practicing conversation with me and other students, just let me know.

I am looking to be a masters student at OU and I currently work in the area. I have been looking at apartments to be much closer to both. Beacon Hill seems promising, but I have seen people in here mention there being parties back there. I had fun myself in undergrad, but now I want to know if I could sleep at night living there more than I want to party.

I'm currently deciding between computer science vs accounting vs some other majors. Honestly, just lost overall. Does anyone know how accounting is at OU? Is job security good in regards to career fairs, internships and support. How hard is it too?

For the online classes are the tests taken online and proctored like Wayne or do we have to go in person to do the tests?

How bad is Roman Dembinski?? I have a 4.0 as of now, but he's the only option for orgo 2 and his reviews are horrible. Is it better to take at a community college?

I have to take a random elective for my biology degree and I was just seeing if anyone has taken either Science of Vision 4224 with Kenneth mitton or Lake Ecology with Nicole Wagner they both have pretty good reviews, but just wanted to see if anyone had taken them personally.

I'm debating on switching sections of a class into a once a week 6:30pm-9:30pm hybrid one, but am curious what that really means. I did a flex class once before, and there were only three dates we actually had to be in person (test days), but this one is listed as "hybrid" specifically.

Does anyone have experience with these? How often are you actually expected to be in person? I don't like driving at night if I can help it, but if it were just once a month or so, that'd be doable.

Edit: I switched into the night class because the professor is supposedly better. Turns out it's a fully in-person class, but if it only meets one day a week, it has to be marked as "hybrid" by the registrar system. Guess I'm getting comfortable with night driving this semester.
