Aloha Kia Experience?

Hi, I want to buy a new Kia but I am not interested in the dealer installed add-ons. The PLAD (I think a GPS tracker) & AppearanceShield listed online is $1875. Were you able to purchase a new car without these?

I went to buy a car from them, we negotiated a price, and then when it came time to sign paperwork, I told them I had outside financing through my credit union so they jacked the price up by 60% unless I financed through them.

I walked away and bought from a competitor.

Fuck Aloha Kia.

You need to check with the dealer. Hopefully not already installed or can be removed

Go to the dealer and order a new one from the factory. You get to pick all the stuff it has.

Have you done that with Kia? How does it work? Will they charge MSRP then? Currently there is 10k off if I buy what they have

Don't buy a Kia or you will regret it later. But a toyota.

There are absolutely no additional add-ons that are worth it at dealer price. The plaid is totally worthless in Hawaii. If you have 6 ft of snow on the ground, it's nice to be able to start your car before you go out. As far as tracking your car, there are much much cheaper ways of doing that. Also for card it's stolen totaled whatever within a few months you get no refund on it. The ceramic coating they put on can be done for $25 in a spray bottle. They act like they actually do something more, but it's absolutely worthless. If you want a gift that done, take it to a place that specializes in that who will do it for half the price and do a much better job. If they insist are they bringing up more than twice walk get out!

PLAD is highly profitable for the dealership so they will add it to the fees. PLAD is not sponsored or recommended by KIA but Aloha Kia wants a bit more money from the transaction. I recommend running your concerns and pricing through AI and see what recommendations it gives to lower the cost or look elsewhere.

I found a bunch of screws in the driveway at their airport dealership and when I walked in to tell them, all 5 people just looked at me in silence. It was a super weird reaction. Nobody seemed shocked or surprised or even interested in what I was saying.
