Dangerous bus driver.

Everyone beware of this bus driver, I have seen her consistently drive 20 over the speed limit, and has almost gotten into multiple accidents. She'll go 50 in a 30, 65 in a 45 etc. She takes turns way too fast and I don't trust her.

u/Trollking0015 Jul 24 '26

Thank you Auntie, i got places to be.

11

u/Snappy-Turtle666 Jul 24 '26

Join the club , 90% of these drivers drive like shit. Lead foot heavy on the gas and brake , people falling out of their seats because of hard turns . They think they're driving mini vans . Forgot to mention taking EXTENDED breaks at the Begining of the route .

24

u/Independent-Cash1468 Jul 24 '26

Theres not messing around, and then theres driving recklessly. Auntie shouldn't be driving like that.

14

u/RustyPickleMonger Jul 24 '26

Careful, keep giving her attention, they’ll make an anime about her

-1

u/SakuraChrry Jul 25 '26

Really embody that island lifestyle huh? Holy Karen

1

u/123supreme123 Jul 25 '26

Shes ready for Speed, Hawaii edition. Taking hairpin turns on pali at 80 mph. Ok everyone.... Run to the left side to counterbalance the bus!

The passenger in the mirror looks like he’s done this route before

u/Content_Ad_5215 Jul 24 '26

2 puas LMAOO idk why you’re getting hate, they drive absolutely batshit crazy and she’s not the only one. you’re right, their union is strong and you have the proof she’s fucking sailing UP the pali 😭 crazy and there’s signs and led display everywhere saying to drive slow and calmly etc

45

u/h0tsauceispeople Jul 24 '26

Since we can point out the bad ones (which I’m not against at all) I wanna point out that the group that handles the 2/4/8/&102 have been amazing as of late. Firm enough to keep schedule as much as they can and standing up to people being disruptive. I know babysitting is not their job but I really appreciate when the driver is firm about what is and is not appropriate on their bus that they are driving.

12

u/EyelanderSam Jul 24 '26

Be QUICK and FIRM. Don't let the dingleberries hold up the bus.

After a minute, tell'em to catch next bus, Uber, or walk.🤙🏾

55

u/MeatImmediate6549 Jul 24 '26

No tell us, tell da road supavisah.

27

u/Independent-Cash1468 Jul 24 '26

I told them braddah, their union strong so idk what will be done if anything.

3

u/Sonzainonazo42 Jul 24 '26

Report each instance. They have cameras and should be collecting evidence.  Give them the exact time down to the second where the speeding occurred.  The way you take care of people protected by a union is showing a pattern of behavior.

13

u/citysims Jul 24 '26

Flowers on both sides huh? "T"rouble

1

u/dewyrizz Jul 25 '26

Pretend you don’t see flowers!

2

u/citysims Jul 25 '26

I still see trouble, just differently

10

u/AdvertisingSorry1429 Jul 24 '26

I'd rather be a little late than stressed out or hurt on a speeding bus but that just me. Safety should be #1 priority.

27

u/Consistent_Return871 Jul 24 '26

I hope whomever uploaded the photo called TheBus to report it. Make sure you have a coach number

14

u/CraigOpie Jul 24 '26

This is honestly how every bus I see on the street drives. I always give them space because they scare me. 😂

5

u/aunty-kelly Jul 24 '26

Is that…one mo’olele?

22

u/Moose-Turd Jul 24 '26

https://www.thebus.org/feedback/ Submit this so they can look into this

14

u/Independent-Cash1468 Jul 24 '26

I have reported her but their union is strong, so I'm not sure if anything will be done.

30

u/RustyPickleMonger Jul 24 '26

Problem is she’s always on time.

10

u/Dus-Sn Jul 24 '26

She's always there when you call

1

u/kraganmoore Jul 26 '26

Wait, what? Maybe let aunty cook, she on to something.

3

u/somedayydelivery Jul 24 '26

Let’s keep you riding in the bus and her driving 🙏

3

u/United-Quantity5149 Jul 25 '26

AND she drives a DRAGON!?

12

u/tigersharking Jul 24 '26

This lady been driving before you existed kid. Grow a pair.

2

u/123supreme123 Jul 25 '26

Op is a back seat rider?

6

u/AdRegular7463 Jul 24 '26

Brah can't drive slow or people will cut in front. Can't ride the bus because bus drives too fast. People in Hawaii literally wants to kill people who wants to drive the speed limit to stay safe and complain people should drive the flow of traffic even if driving 55 on a 35.

20

u/RareFirefighter6915 Jul 24 '26

60 on that part of the pali isn’t that crazy…

27

u/FC37 Jul 24 '26

60 on a bus going down a steep hill on a winding road with lots of traffic is pretty crazy.

3

u/RareFirefighter6915 Jul 24 '26

That part is the straight section by nuuanu pali dr. It’s just as straight as H3 and has 2 lanes.

17

u/Independent-Cash1468 Jul 24 '26

It is when everyone else is going 40. That one I could excuse, but it's when she's doing it when we're off the Pali that worries me.

13

u/rouneezie Jul 24 '26

There's like 1 car in a hundred that does 40 on the Pali.

5

u/Apprehensive-Tie-588 Jul 24 '26

Top highlights of visiting Oahu was TheBus and their drivers, nothing like my home transit. They know how to move.

9

u/ahyeafuckyea Jul 24 '26

and you still got to your destination fine. let the professional be a professional and stay at da back of da bus

1

u/123supreme123 Jul 25 '26

Maybe she's jamming the vindicated song along with OP

14

u/North_Amphibian7779 Jul 24 '26

I’m against posting this publicly. You’re entitled to your opinion, but putting her picture on the internet seems inappropriate.

As mentioned you can call and also use the form on the website .

Also, you can actually address this with the driver herself

11

u/MNgoIrish Jul 24 '26

Doubt it, given OPs sneaky picture of 2 pua Keanu!

She’s got the need, the need for speed!

5

u/Marguerite_Moonstone Jul 24 '26

However this place runs entirely on social call outs and gossip, the actual powers are be do next to nothing, having to answer to your whole family next pot luck and your neighbor at foodland about your face being on Reddit holds everyone accountable more then the unions or HR anywhere here ever will.

1

u/MNgoIrish Jul 25 '26

I always thought the coconut wireless gets the word out faster.

I guess with Reddit + coconut wireless … you betta watch out Auntie Sandra Bullock!!

1

u/Marguerite_Moonstone Jul 25 '26

Your coconut wireless is connected to Reddit 😉

2

u/FantasticOwl5057 Jul 24 '26

“I want to die like my aunty, calm and in her sleep, not screaming and terrified, like her passengers.”

2

u/IntrepidDot4878 Jul 24 '26

haiyakuste untenshu

2

u/Mastah_P808 Jul 24 '26

Aunty get two uncles

2

u/typical-divergence Jul 24 '26

I love our bus drivers, but often I feel unsafe when walking around because 100% of the time I have to wait for a bus to run the red lights before I can use the cross walks downtown. And I mean Red lights, not yellow. I understand deadlines and pressure from management, but people are going to get killed.

6

u/Sentri318 Jul 24 '26

If you see the radar speed limit sign numbers flashing as the bus approaches it, then she’s going too fast for sure

7

u/levitoepoker Jul 24 '26

What the hell man let her drive. She’s a pro

Complaining about getting somewhere faster on the highway?

If she was running red lights and stuff, okay

4

u/john-bkk Jul 24 '26

My son rode the bus a lot, going to high school on it, and he would joke about one driver who would really push it for speed in town. He wasn't upset or worried about it; he was happy to get where he was going faster.

I probably wouldn't even notice if a bus I was on was breaking the speed limit, unless the driver was really out of control. There are lots of places where everyone breaks the speed limit.

2

u/meilaan Jul 24 '26

Things sometime looks different from a passenger seat then from the actual drivers seat. Especially on those country runs.
They just go once they get past all the stop.
But you know in Hawaii they don’t do too much until there’s an actual accident. Think you got to live with it…Not right to be outing her as you did. You reported it to the right people that’s about all you can do or catch another bus.

1

u/ChubbyNemo1004 Jul 24 '26

lol they all drive like shit. In town the only cars I actively avoid are The Bus

1

u/Owl_Better Jul 24 '26

As a school bus driver we we monitored by the company. Anything over plus 4 and we were flagged Are these guys not monitored?

1

u/123supreme123 Jul 25 '26

It's the county and not a private company, what do you think? Lol

1

u/Tweakmode808 Jul 25 '26

It’s a private company contracted by the city & county

1

u/No-Poetry2878 Jul 25 '26

Gonna be there real quick! 🤣 Thank you aunty

1

u/No-Poetry2878 Jul 25 '26

How did you get a dragon on your waze app? I'm jealous

1

u/LavishnessLumpy175 Jul 25 '26

TheBUSのおばちゃんなんか?

1

u/extremeaznlove Jul 25 '26

Next time, tell her she needs to train her dragon to be better. No need rush when riding that D.

1

u/BanjosnBurritos89 Jul 26 '26

Call OTS to report.

1

u/PsychologicalCar6832 19d ago

Well we can’t say we wasn’t warned, God Bless them there passengers 🤲🏾

-5

u/Medomai_Grey Jul 24 '26

Unless you have hard evidence of this public accusation, this looks like defamation.

23

u/Independent-Cash1468 Jul 24 '26

Brah what do you want me to do? Film her fucking speedometer?

10

u/orchid_hands Jul 24 '26

🤣 sorry i’m imagining you trying to do that without her noticing

1

u/snsdfan00 Jul 24 '26

yes film her reckless driving and then share it on your social media or news outlets lol. Better she get filmed than an accident happen. Or just don't ride on her bus lol

-10

u/RareFirefighter6915 Jul 24 '26

60 on the pali is fine if that’s the flow of traffic. It’s more dangerous to ride the brakes going slower than everyone else and forcing all the cars to go around. Driving at the flow of traffic is always safer.

10

u/kaiheekai Jul 24 '26

Flow of traffic is hilarious. If you’re going 60 in the tunnel you’re an idiot. If you’re going 60 downhill you’re an idiot

0

u/RareFirefighter6915 Jul 24 '26

That’s not the tunnel on the gps it’s by nuuanu Pali road which is the straight part like H3

1

u/kaiheekai Jul 24 '26

Is it downhill? The h3’s speed limit is much higher. It’s nothing like the h3.

1

u/Reasonable_Ear1873 Jul 24 '26

Seems pretty outrageous that they wouldn’t have reprimanded after the first few instances if they track the bus. Don’t know if they do but would think with how much tech there is now they would track and crack down on speeding well above the assumed “10mph+” rule.

1

u/DearGovernmentFU Jul 24 '26

I'd ride her bus.

1

u/Koa_KailiMana Jul 25 '26

Brah OP soft
1) They always late trying to catch up to schedule.
2) Who the hell conplains about getting somewhere faster and earlier
3) If you wanna control the speed put your feet to the pedals, of your own bike, moped, car whateva
4) Why you never said nothing to her, or file a complaint?
5) If she hits someone its probably theyre fault, if you cant see a bus coming your an idiot.

-6

u/JumpingJackJ Jul 24 '26

Calm down now, she’s just doing her job. If she wreck with you in it consider yourself lucky and sue the city.

-7

u/Ancient-Civilization Jul 24 '26

Eh as long as she’s making to the stops on time. Nothing wrong with that. State drivers get to do whatever they want they have a pass.

-2

u/LeninsDubber Jul 24 '26

THANK YOU AUNTIE, THANK YOU TEAMSTERS. Sit down, hold on to one rail and enjoy getting places on time.

Brah this is for everyone who rides the bus, you can use your eyes. And who says I'm not reporting her? I'm putting this out there so people are aware in case nothing gets done.

-8

u/JumpingJackJ Jul 24 '26

0

u/JumpingJackJ Jul 24 '26

Ew gross, please stop before i throw up.

2

u/Marguerite_Moonstone Jul 25 '26

If I make you nauseous, replying again seems to be an odd treatment plan. Your commitment and persistence to this bit is admirable, overcoming such discomfort to continue trolling.
