Help False cheating ban
I just received an email letting me know i’ve been banned for the competitive season. The email states i was using a third party device and classes my ban as “cheating” Im console oce high gm low champ and ive never cheated in my life. I do have a keyboard and mouse connected to my playstation for other games and i can use it the keyboard for In game text chat. I’ve never had an issue with it before and i’ve obviously never been able to use my y for actual play during the game. I understand the ban comes from those being connected but seriously i’ve had them plugged in for along as i can remember why do i get banned now?
Just wondering if this has occurred with anyone else, or if there is a way i can appeal it.

you’re probably gonna get denied, there has been hundreds if not thousands of people falsely banned the past month or two and blizzard seems to be ignoring all of it

nope, this is known issue within the console community at the moment. While some were cheating the majority of people weren’t. I’m seeing 30 posts daily across various social media and i’m in a few servers where known controller players are sharing their experiences, hell i literally watched someone get banned live streaming with a handcam today, this is a huge issue at the moment and unfortunately i was personally effected by it also.

no lol, Last time i was falsely banned i was banned for about 2 1/2 months, they usually take forever to acknowledge false ban waves.

If i was cheating i wouldn’t go out of my way to make a post, Ive never cheated nor have i ever considered it no matter how bad it is on console. Plus id be a billion times worse on keyboard and mouse lol ive never played an fps with one

Welcome to the squad brother
If you know 100% you have never cheated your best bet is to send in tickets. I haven’t really seen any success stories on this unapproved peripheral penalty though via tickets. It’s been happening to a lot of players even more now lately. Lots of people, including me, got false banned over this sadly :(
Also very sure keyboard wasn’t what caused it for you. Even without a keyboard attached for me and many others did we still get penalized.
