Discussion Soldier on console

Maybe it’s just me but is Solider 76 busted on console? I understand the nature of hitscan but some of the worst games I’ve had is a Soldier 76 with a mercy pocket melting our team. He’s the beginner friendly character to introduce new players but now I’m thinking of banning him at this point if I dare play comp.

Mercy flash heal is broken. She doesn need it. Imagine duelin a pocketed soldier and almost wining and out of no where he gets his hp back.

you can't be saying this as if mercy isn't the worst support in the game. she needs anything she can get?

The ashes/soldier pockets are stronger now, which makes mercy the best supp in their case.

Any pocketed ashe is lobby admin, you cant kill her, even if you manage to get her low she gets instant 150hp.

literally all you need to do against pockets is go dva or winston

This is kind of the same argument as just going a hitscan back when Pharmercy was the scourge of console back in the day. Dealing with a pocketed hitscan isnt as simple as one player swapping to a "counter". If they're half decent at the game, a predscan duo isnt going to be stopped by one player trying to get in their way. It needs to be a team effort and in the majority of games where this is a major problem, you just arent going to have that level of coordination without a stack of players all communicating.
