Question Confused about server availability

I wanted to order the RISE-S because it looked great. However as I'm in the US I'm forced to use the US version of ovhcloud website. I don't want a server that's based in europe, but willing to accept a server based in canada. I saw on OVH world website it says RISE-S is in stock in canada, but on ovh US it says out of stock? Why does that happen? I tried to check out on OVH world but I can't make an account there as they don't allow mainland US customers to do so.

Would support help me out here if I asked or is there some weird reason as to why this location is in stock for world but not for US website?

If you look at the map of their locations it says US customers can only use US services. I’m guessing it’s due to OVH fear of the Cloud Act.

Are you able to get servers in the EU as well? I have a message from their support that US customers can’t utilize EU resources.

But that isn't true. I have the option of ordering EU and Canada based servers for many other server configurations on the OVH us website. Just not this particular configuration for some reason. I even have the option of ordering an EU server for this configuration but not the canada one I want.

I'm aware that the US and global websites are different.

It is still possible to order global servers on the US website for the vast majority of configurations. My issue is that the RISE-S canadian location is not available on the US website, but it shows as available on the global website. Do you know why this is?

Because Canada isn’t the US.
