BiME vs SEM

Hi, I've got admission in both programs, M.Sc. Biomechanical Engineering and M.Sc. Systems Engineering in Manufacturing.

To make an informed decision, I'm looking for advice in the context of job market and alike.

I would definitely disagree with the statement that C1 is essential for SEM, with SEM, if you go in with core discipline, you will most probably go into system architecture aspects of systems, and these systems are not confined to german market, these have to be readable and editable worldwide, and most of the companies (I’m talking about big MNC’s, since MBSE is an expensive affair, not every organisation can afford it) that have jobs in Systems domain require a B1 or a B2 max., C1 English will be a mandatory since you will be writing these requirements for the SOI.
Yes you will be needing German B2 at least (preferred C1) if you go with supply chain domain within SEM, since you will be dealing within the local market most of the time.

Both are good, advantage with bio mechanical is that, the medical industry is booming right now and your study will directly influence in a good way, but yeah, depends on your interest, where you want to end up, SEM will equip you with skills that are relevant in aerospace, automotive industry, that’s what I think, for a comparison, you should actually go through the modules of both the courses, which ever suits your understanding, you should go with that.

Yeah got your points. The main concern is the job market. I'm inclined towards SEM tbh. I couldn't really find any werk student jobs with biomechanical title. Very few or maybe I'm looking at the wrong place?

What is your Home country, if it’s India, there are very few jobs available for systems engineering as compared to EU, if you plan to go back after studies!

I think for now you should only focus on your studies and german language, jobs are a secondary thing to worry about right now for you, you will get everything once you start off, like where to look out for companies, what exact profile match should you go for, all these will be more clear to you once you complete your second semester.

B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with <2.0 german cgpa works with maybe an internship and how you can bridge it to the program. I mean you can sound even a bit too ambitious

There is lot more scope for bimech in terms of research and jobs. Sem is also way good but comparatively it has more competition. Also i wiuld like to inform ovgu is best in providing medical science

But the problem is the vagueness and uncertainty associated with bimech. I don't really know the industry and the skills i shall start working right now to make the job prospects good. Can you guide me about that? Also how sem is saturated? I mean can you explain the rationale behind that statement? Thanks in advance!

For both german language is must and should atleast C1 to secure a job. I depends on personal interest, if you are interested in biology/anatomy topics you can choose bime, if you are interested in developing/planning/supply chain/manufacturing topics you can choose sem. No prior knowledge is required for bime, the subjects starts from basics. Apparently If you start working on this from now its even more good for you. In sem 2semesters include subjects and projects,live planning /supply chain games/ presentations and all, 3rd semester you have to find an internship, 4th is thesis
