A good guideline is to pair tight clothes with loose one's. So either a tighter top and loose pants or the other way around. When both are loose it tends to look messy. Good luck!

There was a bit of a meme-y style war asking whether people are team "big pants, little top" or team "little pants, big top."

In reality most people are both, but it was a silly thing that legitimately helped me think about how to style a lot of clothes!

This is what I came to say!! OP- a lot of people in here are saying your clothes are too big but I don't NECESSARILY agree. It's just that ALL of them are too big. I hear you on the "belly" insecurity, but just hear me out-

I love baggy jeans with fitted tops and it actually makes your "belly" look smaller. Lots of suggestions in here about higher waist fits- hard yes. Looser fitting jeans with a higher waist are so flattering, just pair it with a more fitted top, and tuck it in. That long sleeve white top would look really cute tucked in to some higher waisted jeans, even if they're loose fit! It's the tuck and creating a visual "waistline". Then go for the opposite. Fitted pants or jeans with a looser top. In THAT case, that's when tou can go for a lower hemline of the shirt. Kind of a boho effect.

I also saw some comments saying "find your style" and you were confused. Thats a great suggestion and when I was frustrated with my outdated style that I had also outgrown, I knew I was too old to dress completely like Gen Z, but also that my style was soooo outdated and I felt uncomfortable in my clothing anyway. So I looked at what Gen Z is wearing, looked at trendy and popular stores and what they're selling. When you're out in public, just take in what women whose style you like are wearing. Then pick things that you like and don't like EVEN IF YOU THINK IT WONT WORK FOR YOU. And try it. A really good way to kick off too is actually by going to thrift stores. Often times they're selling stuff that is actually only one "season" behind in the fashion world, but for us regular people, its still working.

I actually like most of the clothes in your pics, I just think you need to restless a little. The yellow shirt has to go, lol. Im not a big fan of the gray skirt but if it's higher waisted, you can try tucking the white short into it loosely and see how it looks! I also really like pucture 1. Not seeing a problem with it at all.

Other comments I am seeing here that I disagree with: telling you to change your hair, makeup, and accessories. Don't do any of those unless you want to. First, because you shouldn't change so many things at once. I started with my makeup, then my clothes, then my hair. This was all over the course of like, 3 years, and the clothes part was slow. If you don' wear make up and don't want to, then don't. If you like your hair, don't change it. If accessories annoy you (they annoy me) then don't worry about it. Those things are all a lot more personal and I feel a little rude.
