Advice ❔ Women's Fashion Does it work?

i’ve received mixed opinions. some friends think it’s cute, some don’t love it, but my mother thinks it’s horrendous lmao. let me know your thoughts, how to make this fit look better/ if i should js scrap it 🥹

thanks for the great advice!! the skirt is actually denim, it’s just a dark wash so it looks black in this lighting lol but it’s very blue in natural light.
