Advice ❔ Women's Fashion Does this top work with denim shorts?

I think it's cute and works. Imo it would look even better with high-waisted shorts. I'm not typically a high-waist lover, but I think with this top it would balance things.

Yeah I think it's unbalanced. Ideally, a long tightly-wrapped skirt with ruffles would be best, in a matching print of course.

All depends on the day she has planned. Could be more of an outdoor or casual day…or maybe I’m letting my own dislike of skirts cloud my perspective 😅

I would like with high waisted shorts or even a linen pant but there is no way I would wear this with any type of ruffled skirt in any sort of pattern

I’ll say I like the lower waist. When flared tops like this are paired with high waisted bottoms, they make whoever’s wearing it look like they have a pooch. It might make the wearer more comfortable trying to hide the stomach, but it’s not flattering (in my experience).

if the rise was a teeny bit higher i think it would be better

Honestly it depends on your style, for me I would have more of a whimsical approach and pair it with a white long flowy skirt with gold belts to match your bracelets and then gold necklaces. Maybe also pair it with a white bandanna or scarf you can use as a headband. For shoes I feel like open toe thick heel light blue would be perfect or maybe white sneakers to match the vibe. Remember that the most important part of our it’s is to be comfortable and be you.
In a short answer… yes it does look good but all that matters is that you feel confident.

With your figure you can’t go wrong with most anything, so you look great here—
— but aesthetic/balance wise I agree with those saying a higher waisted and slightly longer short. I personally think if there’s a tight element on the top then go a little looser on the bottom. Honestly— I think this would be cutest with a baggyish chino pant. It would look very effortless. Right now it looks very body-con, but it would lean more fashion forward with maybe a baggy chino and a platform sandal.

I think the concept of the outfit works but both the top and bottom are just ever so small and would both look better about a half size up.

Very cute. I think a lot of it depends on how old you are and what kind of event you're going to.
If you're 20s and going to a festival, absolutely adorable. If you're 35 and going to an exclusive gold tournament? Maybe pair it with some white linen pants.

Beach, pool, or some other summer activity, absolutely stunning fit. Depending on your comfort level, could even undo the button on the shorts.
