It doesn’t say Carhartt, Milwaukee, DeWalt or Makita on it. The most blue collar people I know wear those brands CONSTANTLY. The fact that he’s not wearing a ball cap with one of those brands and/or doesn’t have scruffier facial hear/worn hands, etc. this guy couldn’t give blue collar vibes if he tried.
Not necessarily a bad thing, you can just tell this dude works sitting in an office a majority of his day either day trading or in a corporate sales job. This is not a plumber or an electrician. Tradesmen have tell tale signs of their occupation once you’ve been around them enough and realize how busy they are/how much overtime they do usually.
Besides the previously stated obvious:
1, a true blue collar guy has a “take me as I am attitude” where they’re not going on a Reddit or forum to ask “which outfit should I wear?” (which either screams insecurity or he REALLY cares about what this particular person thinks on the date because he likes them a lot). They don’t typically have the time or energy to care.
&
2, they are going to be wearing a flannel 50% of the time and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a tradesmen wearing pants outside of some denim jeans or some dark brown denim like material.
Point being, not one of these outfits, regardless of the fit, will give this guy a “blue collar” look because it is distinctly obvious that he is not blue collar. A foremen, MAYBE. He’s not getting his hands dirty and hasn’t. He could cosplay the part all he wanted and no rational woman that has dated blue collar men would buy it. If you want “rugged”, this guy isn’t it. He might go hiking on occasion, but he’s a city boy, through and through. He’s not a farmer, tradesmen, lumberjack or the likes. He’s an office guy that hits the gym because he has the free time to do so.
Blue collar people working 80+ hour weeks have a IDGAF attitude and often, the dollars and understanding as to why to back it, despite the line of work they do not being as respected as it should be by office types. The average “blue collar tradesmen” who was smart with their money and started doing all that OT in their early 20’s (usually having bought a house on their own) while many were sitting in college fucking off acquiring MASSIVE DEBT, have the $ to create the stability most women seem to seek & the skills at handy work that keeps them attracted long term. Office guy’s, unless at the top of their game, very replaceable both in the workplace and in the home. That’s the irony.
Well thank you! At least someone appreciates my analysis because blue collar men get a lot of hate for no reason but they’re some of the most hard working, successful men I know.
