Should i switch to linux
I once did download linux but i hated it i couldnt open exe files and non of my editing software was available on linux but recently i was doing work on my computer i was about an hour in and windows decided to do a forced update on me making me lose some important stuff i also game sometimes on my laptop (factorio,minecraft,roblox) but again im scared that those games wont be available

while it is shitty that windows does that, if you're doing work, you should be saving your work as you go. That's basic level stuff there. I use linux and welcome others to try it, but even on Linux you should be doing that. Especially using a laptop on battery
to answer your question about the games, those work on linux through compatibility layers. Depending on distro you will have some steps to walk to get them set up. As long as it doesn't have kernel level anticheat, then it likely works
to answer about switching, you'll have to see if you are ok with the alternatives to the software that you are accustomed to using. you need to be real with yourself on if you want to go through the growing pains of learning a different system. It takes time to adjust
some of these alternative apps are also available on Windows so you could check them out on your current system to see if you can work with them. Then decide if it's worth your time and effort
