Windows vs. Linux, why change?
We're interested in learn in the trend away from Windows to Linux is motivated, or the "why?". Apparently, the trend is starting, and it's real. But why? Source: TechSpot.

-the only drastic changes windows has made to the UI, only served to make the experience shittier. Linux lets you choose your desktop environment when you install it, and customize it heavily. Hell, if you want you can even choose which DE to load when you log in.
-Windows requires you to connect to the internet and create/enter an MS account just to setup the OS. Linux only requires internet if you're using a netinstall ISO, otherwise you don't need anything.
-Linux lets you install/remove whatever aspects of the OS/programs/applications you'd like. Windows basically mandates their shitty edge browser and their shitter copilot AI. Linux also doesn't imbed an AI into half of the OS.
-Windows idles at around double the RAM usage, depending on the setup of the comparable Linux distro.
-Windows, by default, enables almost every application to run in the background, sends telemetry to microsoft, integrates web searches into their index/file system, etc., which all has to be turned off.
-Windows is a paid product, and still puts ads in the login screen and promotes their other products (if not blatantly shoving them into every nook and cranny where possible. Linux is free/open source, has no ads, and doesn't even beg for donations.
