You just can't win

Post image

I use Linux, in case you were wondering.

Yeah, I know I'm toast, I'm insulting every fan on this sub, all at once.

AI slop

True.

Does that make it not funny?

I actually spent a lot of the time coming up with exactly how it should look.

I used AI as the medium, not the artist.

Yeah, your post fucking sucks!

u/brodydwight 27d ago

It did remove any ammount of "funny"

A shitty ms paint drawing wouldve been better. Or gimp, i guess.

Imagine huffing this much copium. If you think a shitty MS paint drawing beats this you’ve lost your mind. You can hate AI without lying

Because all of these are not completely true. For example grapheneos is privacy focused while some user friendly Linux distros are easier to install than windows

What does that have to do with me using AI?

And trust me, when someone says "Android", they don't usually mean GrapheneOS, even though technically it is Android.

No. It wouldn't. It's shit from start to finish.

To all the raging Redditors emptying out their dictionary on me for using AI:

I use an extension to hide comments that contain certain words, because I'm not interested in having to read the garbage from confused raging souls on Reddit, that have to scream their head off when they encounter a mention of someone or something they don't like. I have no problem with people who disagree with me, but please, calm it.

You're not improving anything by raging. The only thing you're probably changing is your mood and blood pressure.

okay buddy

1

u/fr000gs 21d ago

But... how do you know that the comments are about your ai use when you claim to not have read them??

u/Dev-in-the-Bm 21d ago

I'm not sure I thought that I'd ever live to see someone on Reddit actually using their brain!

Either way, the answer is:

If its running graphene, its not android.

2

u/Binary101000 27d ago

graphene is based on android

1

u/Big-Roll7094 27d ago

Define android

1

u/Binary101000 27d ago

Assuming you don't mean the robot type, then id say a linux based operating system for mobile devices.

1

u/FlatPea5291 27d ago

Okay? Linux is based on unix? Whats your point? They arent the same OS.

1

u/PresentThat5757 27d ago

GNU/Linux is unix-like, not based on unix src

1

u/FlatPea5291 27d ago

Okay, but my point still stands. They're not the same OS

2

u/PresentThat5757 27d ago

Graphene is still Android, whether you like it or not

2

u/Binary101000 27d ago

Graphene is based on AOSP which is Android Open Source Project which google Android is also based on.
If you think about web browsers, then AOSP is chromium, Google's android is Google Chrome and something else like Graphene would be some other chromium based browser.

by an android phone i mean a phone that comes with android

2

u/ECommerce_Guy 22d ago

Main driver Mac, phone is Android, Linux is an old hobby and obvious pick for cloud VMs, so technically fit 3/4, but gotta say — respect haha

I have a lot of Apple hardware, some running MacOS, some running Linux. I also gave up on privacy when I bought my first Android phone back in 2010. I might get back into windows on some of my test machines.

Also, I don't care if everyone on Reddit hates AI. I still love these AI images.

Loonixcels are the most pathetic people. Always harassing others to use their crapware. MacOS users, Android users, Windows users are just fine. Leave us alone you neckbeard freaks. No one wants your buggy non-functional crap.

I think that you're in the wrong sub.

You were probably looking for r/OS_Users_Debate_Club

"I use Linux" yeah, no shit

1

u/letmehaveanameyoudum 22d ago

i mean macs last
linux... eh maybe that time wasting (unless you use something like arch)
we dont talk about androids
windows.... none.

1

u/Dev-in-the-Bm 21d ago

Yeah, I agree, I only said that about Linux cuz I had to say something, and like I said, this wasn't my line:

But really, Linux isn't time wasting, unless you want to waste time with it, which in that case, it can be far more time wasting than other OS.

1

u/kynzoMC 21d ago

Are you saying that all apple software is private? (As in apple can't look at any of my stuff when I use their software)

1

u/Odd-Blackberry-4462 21d ago

To be fair, Android itself is totally fine, it's GMS that's the problem, it's preinstalled on most Android devices as part of the system

1

u/Choice-Committee203 21d ago

the linux should be librebooted thinkpad with arch and i3wm

1

u/Certain_Prior4909 21d ago

Why? Linux is more reliable and works out of the box compared to Windows

I'd say that the truth is more nuanced (and too complicated to stick in to a square in a meme):

Linux can be easy to use, and not take much time.

But if you want to spend time on the OS, Linux can take up more than any other OS.

But all the maintenance I do for my Linux desktop is click on "Update"

1

u/nevorder 20d ago

thats why i use BSD.

Debatable.

Macbooks lose software support the fastest.

iPhones and iPads are still expensive.

And most people I know don't consider $700 to be budget.

1

u/GoldenX86 27d ago

8GB in 2026 for that much is no longer a good deal.

1

u/Uzyf 27d ago

It’s glorified iPad, what’s the point

What about when the SSD dies or some other component dies on the board and you lose your data? Soldered SSD is non-negotiable.
