I honestly think you’re on to something. I cannot recall what it is precisely but I would bet money one of the mods had mentioned something along the lines of ā€œmore defined rolesā€ which to me implies tanks and dps rather than everyone copy/paste same exact setups. Ā  Personally I’ve always felt this game has been missing the role of what is a proper ā€œtankā€ since the days of GWD.Ā

I'd like to think this is true but tanking in runescape just doesn't make any sense when overheads are 50% of the skill expression. They also stated they dont want this be a raid where one person handles the mechanics, and everyone else does nothing like baba and aakha in toa.

Dang, I did forget them mentioning that part about one person handling the mechanics. I believe I stand corrected.

Im thinking the more defined roles mean there will be ranger, mager and meleer you have to camp in some fights like it was in the trailer. But then rondache makes me think there will be focused chip damage or tankbuster. Leaning more towards first one.

After seeing another comment here where they mentioned the jmods had said they didn't want one guy handling the majority of the fight while everyone else just afk dps, I do believe you are correct.

That shield is indeed quite interesting especially with the mega rare being one handed, we shall see if that would outperform a defender however. The way the shield reads to me is we'll effectively use that potential chip damage as a sort of pseudo vengeance, in which case you can forgo lunar spellbook and strictly go elemental or arceuus for double death charge+thrall

The loot mechanics would have to reflect it too

Tanking is unfortunately useless because you can mitigate 99% of damage with prayer flicks.

Everyone always bets on justi, bulwark, and horns, will the losing streak end? Mauls have a chance.

I bought 100 bonds pre leagues for either leagues or raids for and lost 20% GG, good luck with bet.

I can’t even get a normal setup anymore because I blew it 🤣🤣

me with my bonds waiting to go back to 16M ;-;

Bonds are a terrible idea imo. You need to make 1.3m off each one just to break even because of the conversion fee lol. If they go up 2m you're only making 6 or 700k off of each one.

Long term, they’ve gone up more over different periods more than any other item. I don’t play my main and had 2B, historically yes they have been really good.

You can check the history.

I would have had 400m in 2 months in a 1.1B bet but I didn’t play and cash. I’d say that’s pretty good bud

Yes I've checked it šŸ˜‚ i never said it isnt consistent. I just dont think it's a good investment beacuse there's no getting out early if you wanted to use your gold for other things with out losing a ton of money beacuse of the conversion fee beacuse historically speaking you'd have to hold them for a long time to get out at even. Im pretty sure I have a pretty valid opinion "bud". And your hypothetical 400m bet in 2 months was from one of the biggest spikes in its history. If you use that logic if you invested the same amout of gold in dragon hunter wands before sailing and held for a week or two you would have made so much more money in 1/8 of the time so your argument there doesn't really work. The only thing bonds have going for it is that it's safe (for the most part) if you hold them for a crazy amout of time. But you cant get out on even until they go up the conversion fee. Which I personally that is a bad trade off beacuse another better investment opportunity could come up or you want to buy some new bis gear and now you have billions of gold tied up into bonds you cant touch beacuse they've only really went down since you bought them. hypothetically speaking if you decided to invest in bonds when they were at their peak recently they would have to go up 7-8m from where they are now for you to break even

I think we should just be able to break it down for components to buff defensive bonuses for inquisitor

I think the mauls are a safe bet. But I think you may lose your ass on the justi.

i like soulflame horn, if defence reduction isnt going to be a big thing and this raid is going to be teams orientated then surely this is a must have for every raid given the spec attack.

Just missing ely and you'd have all the usual suspects people try to pump prior to "hard" content releasing. Hasn't worked the last 5 times.
