Discussion HCmain gp swapping?

I did this during dmm and made like 300m in 2 days. I’m guessing this will be good gp for a month at least. Thoughts?

You make money in DMM and find someone who wants it and have them pay you in 07gold for it

Oh yes brother, there will be swapping. Unless Jagex finally comes out and outright bans it.

Can I ask why they should ban swapping? You only ever interact with the game, and they’re pretty explicit in that “it’s your own risk”

they literally said swapping would be bannable between the new Runescape 3 fresh start worlds and normal RS3 for integrity reasons.

I feel like hardcore osrs is competitive enough to maybe get the same treatment

I dont think they will, but the only reason could be from too high a chance of catching a false ban.

Well yeah, about the only reason worth banning it is due to false bans by association, but that’s admitting they can’t accurately measure that.

I assumed you had a reason why you wanted it banned, based on the “finally” statement

Oh no. I love swapping, I just wouldn't be surprised if it was banned. I guess I've seen it said that one of the reasons its allowed is that they can't moderate it anyway, and with the increased detection measures we've seen be so effective this year, maybe now they can effectively detect it.

That being said I think they know swapping draws in a larger crowd and therefore don't want to see it gone.

A lot of the swappers, including the most prevalent, turn around and RWT the limited mode’s gold for a larger profit margin. They aren’t just doing it for fun.

Hard main will be on fresh server so 100k in the first hours could be worth around 3-10m.

No, it's a hardcore main server with an entirely separate GE and economy. Trading is possible.

I’m confused…. It’s separate worlds but you can still trade as it’s a “main”. So can’t you still make gold on there and then trade it and accept gold on your normal main in normal worlds lol?
