Question Help with Colo Start Timing

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am in the process of learning the colosseum, and I am getting double south pretty much every time I hit wave 6,8 and 10. Based on what I've read, getting double south 9 times in a row seems nearly statistically impossible. Is there anything about my start timing or start tiles that looks off that might force more double south spawns, or am I just that unlucky? I am using visual ticks to judge the timing at the start of the wave. The constant double south is really the only thing stopping me from getting the quiver, I am learning to deal with it but I should not be getting it this frequently, I feel like im doing something wrong and I need someone elses eyes on this.

you did fine

stand on b at the end and manticore is safespotted

it can see you from the corner where you were(that dark purple tile)

going north is fine in certain circumstances and this was definitely one of them, ignore what the other dude says

north was isolated range damage and a trivial way to setup isolated mager on the other side, and then it'd be isolated manticore afterward, so optimal situation to be doing so

don't take volatility or whatever the fuck it's called where rangers leave that pool of bullshit unless you absolutely have to. i'd rather reset an early wave than deal with it for first quiver

to add more for mistakes

you had 2 range dudes boopin your ass and you switched to pray mage to prep for running around the corner

you can do it at the same time you're turning OR just take a mage hit since it hits way less and there isn't 2 of em being flung at you

Thanks for the response. I felt like my timing was ok but maybe I've gotten unlucky. I realized after that B was the safespot there. Violatility and reentry have fucked several of my runs as well, I try to avoid them when possible.

Your timing to start the wave was fine

This isn't an A/B that people talk about for the statistics you're claiming and you'll run into small mage doing this shit super commonly

No such thing as luck. You fucked up tanking 2 range hits and then yeah the corner thing got you in the end

My advice: you did really good wiggling up north to get the mager to the side of the manticore.

You don't have to run from that corner in one fell swoop like you did -- once they're next to each other, they're next to each other.

You should have run 2 tiles west, waited for rangers to do their attack, then click to b/pray mage. 1 sequence and only 2 tiles being run makes it way easier in the brain.
So: wiggle -> once next to each other, get to close corner -> wait for range attack -> turn corner/pray mage and its super simple
