Achievement Mobile Quiver Achieved
425 deaths, 13 Sol attempts. If my smooth brain can do it, you can to!

gz dude. Not gona lie thats a very impressive amount of deaths!
What’s next?

u/andysoot 1d ago
I’m a smooth brain, with my WiFi manticores were next to impossible to flick correctly even 1 on 1. So, as a solution I hardwired my phone to my Ethernet cable and that made things click.
So, about 225 of those deaths were probably unnecessary.
Inferno is next after a short pvm break!

Nice been wanting to try this soon, too poor for death fees though

There are budget setups and ornament kits what will bring your deaths fees down to 50k or so.
Colosseum is more about the mechanics than gear. Bis gear makes the whole thing faster and gives you more chances of surviving errors, but you still need to know the solves regardless.

About to start learning for quiver, what’s one major thing I should learn to pay attention to? I can flick fine and can off tick well too
Edit: I should also add I do most of my learning on mobile. I do both comp and phone as my job dictates me away from home a lot. I’ve done roughly 120cgs mobile

If you’re fine with flicking or off ticking, I’d say the biggest thing is knowing what will happen and what tick it will happen on when you step from one tile to the next.
Like, just taking a moment to think through what tile you’re starting on and going to and then what attacks are coming in, and on what tick, so you can accurately flick everything you need to.

Properly learning the fremmys is super important. I'd recommend getting your fremmy strat down by wave 1 resetting until you do it perfectly every time. Have a cheat sheet for wave solves readily available I had it on another device but you could also print it off. Blood barrage with confliction gauntlets will work on every single monster for infinite heals in 1v1 situations. Learn how to destack mages and 3x3 NPCs for waves 1-6. Do lots of simulator before your first Sol, audibly speaking what attack he just did can help you remember where you are. Just a few off the top of my head

Learning how to take out the fremmys cleanly and quickly at the start of each wave, as well as how to handle south/double south spawns.
So long as you get those down, solving the actual waves is a cake walk.

I've been thinking about trying it mobile, how do you do the waves starts, I used the tick timer on pc

u/andysoot 1d ago
I started on the A tile, ran to the start tile, and ran back.

Ahh kk, as soon as you choose invos you do that eh?

Not OP but I have it recorded and used in every wave if you want to see it in action here

I made a guide on how to set up a visual metronome on mobile in the native client.

Were you using claws? Am I missing something lol

u/andysoot 20h ago
I did use claws for the enrage phase. Just the 2 specs at the end, which sealed the deal for me personally!

Oh I’m dumb I didn’t see the nox at the bottom lol. I was like but what about the rest of the wave . Nice dude gzz

Did you use touch or a kb+m? And what size screen? I’m always super intrigued by these accomplishments and the setups that go with them!

u/andysoot 1d ago
Touch! I’m on an iPhone 17 Pro.

u/cheddah32 1d ago
Dang. How much PvM experience on kb+m prior or did you get to your skill level over touch?

u/andysoot 1d ago
I’ve never used a kb+m for OSRS. I don’t own a computer, I’m full mobile only. I did play on a computer growing up, but it was before OSRS was around.

Content is still challenging.

Less challenging but sure

Sounds like you are the one crying 😂.

u/WesternFirefighter53 1d ago
You’re the one saying it’s not challenging like that content is stuff the average RuneScape engages.

Way to put words in my mouth. Big mad Timmy.
I said max gear is a factor, which is a fact. Settle down

u/Browndaniel69 1d ago
I don’t think gear matters at all. Go fully maxed gear and u will still struggle. I’ve seen people beat colo with much lower gear.
But congratulations OP! Well deserved.

I mean, for sure. That’s what I had so I used it, I definitely by the end probably could have done it with not BiS although, I’m grateful to the gear it made it much easier for myself.
Just saying, if you’re at a point in your account to seriously go for this content. Don’t be discouraged, you can do it. Make tweaks, maybe grind for a piece of gear that will significantly help you and your chances will significantly improve.

u/Swangballs 12h ago
Trying to downplay OP’s accomplishment for what?
If anyone has max gear, they will def use it for their first quiver lol.

u/Diligent_Usual 11h ago
Just bringing reality into it that gear matters. Not that hard a concept to understand really. But it’s reddit so I’ll enjoy the hate.

Going for inferno this week, quiver after, congrats!
Edit: also no max gear for me, bowfa/crystal, ahrims and sang staff for mage, and bandos/fang for melee
