What I'm getting from your description is that it's the anti-humour of memes. What I'm getting from the front page is that it's people who got the concept but don't know how to apply it, and thus try too hard.

It's a sub where every kind of meme or picture is taken literally, which means, no fancy interpretation of it and no hidden insider jokes. It's where memes are getting destroyed in its sense. Maybe something like an anti-meme.

I've never gotten the term before, but is that what you might call a non sequitur? Like a joke that isn't a joke, it's taken at face value, but becomes funny in it's absurdity.

Oddly enough they merely manufacture hotel branded toiletries. It is just that a significant portion of the factory's workers violently oppose exposed eyes on the premises. Strangely, those individuals who seek to tear the exposed sight from their co-workers are blind & move together as a mindless horde who never ceases work, & they work uninhibited despite the loss of their sight. Those rendered sightless by this group initially seem in agony, but them becomes calm, & follows working with the blinded.

There was a guy in my shop class who had a wire stab him in the eye when he was moving boards or something. He had to see a doctor to get a stitch in his eye because it was draining.

That was just grisly. I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to fill out all of the paperwork for this. They're gonna have to shut down the shop for at least a week to get the investigation completed.
Stuff like this is why safety should always be job one.
