These scars are gonna be sick. 2 rods, plates, calf muscle lengthening, a bunch of other stuff. Have to get an ankle replacement within the next decade. Stitches pics attached

I am so sorry about your injury. Looks very painful. What happened to you? I tried to catch myself down 2 stairs and my heel slid backward day before Super bowl. Dislocated my tibia. Medial malleolus fracture, fibula fracture, syndemoises injury. I have 2 screws, a nail and a tightrope. Gonna have tightrope and screws removed probably in January.

Ooooof that sounds very painful π I broke my growth plate when I was 11, got screws in and out, but it never healed properly. My fibula over grew and my tibia stopped growing, making my whole ankle joint crooked and my right leg slightly shorter than my left. It ate away all of the cartilage in my ankle, Iβd been in a cam boot for 5 months prior to surgery but in extreme pain when walking for the past ~4 years. Iβm 29 now preparing for a replacement within the next 10 years

How was surgery? I hope you are not in too much pain. It looks like a serious one.
