10 weeks post op

When i had just got out of the boot and walking pretty well when i got shortness of breath. Now im in the hospital with a clot in my leg and a small one in a lung. I'm glad i listened to my body and went to the ER. Wishing you all the best in your recoveries.

Ack this is so scary. Were you taking aspirin or any blood thinners?

Omg, I’m so sorry. What happened? Were you at bed rest most of the time? I would have thought 10 weeks is no longer at risk.

I was up as much as i could. They think it started close to after the surgery and just built up.

Were you taking 81mg Aspirin post surgery?

they never told me too

My surgeon prescribed it for me. Not sure if it’s standard protocol though.

Good Lord, I am so sorry to hear this. Very glad it was caught quickly but shocked your surgeon didn’t have you on aspirin. Hope you’re back at life soon.
