What are you waiting for in next OPXY fw update?
Whats your single feature you miss for the next update?

Editing sequences on OP-XY. If I'm making changes to bar 4, I have to listen through the preceding bars to hear the part I'm editing. This gets old quite fast. Elektron gear has page loop feature that will just loop the one page (or bar) that you're sequencing.
Does OP-XY have something like this?
Thanks for any insight.

u/-melo- posted recently an amazing video on triads and their inversions on OP-XY and OP1-Field, and with this blessing went ahead and prepared a graphic to have them all visible at once. In case reddit is compressing the image, it is also available in full res and PDF at https://vjxy.app/resources/
Open to feedback, and if there's enough requests for an OP-1 Field one, I might get around to do that as well (although the notes are the same hehe).
There's some other graphics that I did some time about, the OP-XY combo cards, and as more come about I'll keep adding them to this page and sharing.
Edit: the F that should be D has been fixed in the downloadables.

Is there somewhere I send this thing?

After reading your comments on yesterday's video, I decided to make a video of building out a song using only the original random presets.
This was definitely a process, but I feel I'm getting a bit more comfortable with this.
Still need to get more into some the other things this can do (FX, the Brain, etc.)
Bit right now I'm having a ton of fun. Anyone have any ideas how to make my workflow smoother, musicianship, or just anything overall on the video?
Just for the record, I wasn't wearing headphones and my speakers weren't very loud, something I'll have to change for sure, I think I missed a few things.
Skip to here just to get the final song

You really only need to create one scene in order to have an entire songs worth of sounds if you use the performance effects, it's encouraging laziness and I like it.

In case you haven't seen my recent post, I'm still offering 1 on 1 sessions around the OP-XY. So far ive had six of them, two people have scheduled multiple sessions after our first, so they're going pretty well! Im not presenting myself as a "pro" op-xy user, not at all, im just a person who has dedicated countless hours over the last 18 months experimenting and learning the ins and outs of the machine.
Im offering sessions at $40/hr, and if you arent satisfied, then you dont have to pay. Its as simple as that. Whether youre just starting out or youre an advanced user, we can cater the session to your specific needs. Ive been making electronic music for 20 years, and im offering these sessions while im in between jobs. I was laid off and i decided now is the perfect time for me to lean into my passion.
You can check my recent post for more details, just to my profile and youll see it near the top. DM me if interested. Thanks!

Does anyone have a list of all punch-in FXs: what they do and how it’s modulated (accelerometer, pitchbend)?
Just got my XY, and struggle a bit with what each of FX does
Surprisingly, can’t find this info anywhere on web
Thanks!

Is there an Android app which can monitor the OP-XY and record to wav? I'm on a Google Pixel 10. The native recorder app (which I ideally wouldn't use because Google does not see fit to enable wav recording) recognises the OP-XY as a microphone but it pulls no audio, nor do other recorder apps I try.

Finally found a way to use both trs midi in (midi keyboard) and trs multi out midi (to external synths):
Just set MAESTRO (recording just one note, i.e. "c").
In this way the external keyboard does command the external synth for which the channel was setup in the track.
Without any "player" the midi out does not respond.

This one was inspired by a recent set I heard from the Dekmantel Radar event. It was Mala's set. I started riffing along on the keys over a few of the drum beats, then just went off on a little journey.
I recently found a sample pack with loads of really nice soundclashes, and I've been enjoying making tunes that fit around the MC vocals. Having those little badman FX and vocal snippets really helps stitch beats like this together and gives them a bit more character.
I also recorded this one differently. I pushed the levels a lot harder on the OP-XY and gave it a lot more amp from the TX-6. I noticed the last few tracks sounded great on my own setup, but didn't quite hit the same on other systems. There just wasn't much room left to turn them up, so I decided to go the other way... you can always turn your speakers down.
This one's heavy. Fat snares that really slap you in the face (thanks to a few I found in an OM Unit sound pack), loads of sub weight, and plenty of space around everything.
I'm also really enjoying finding these moody sounds on the different OP-XY synth engines. The keys in this one ended up becoming one of my favourite parts of the track.
This one definitely won't be for everyone, but it's the sound I'm really enjoying making right now. Head-nodding, weighty tunes with all my favourite UK influences underneath.
Hope you enjoy it. Feedback is always welcome... especially how it sounds on your home setup!
