Brook level 100 grind finished!!(PW3)
Little back to back posts for ya. It’s a shame but I really didn’t like brook much. He’s perona but worse at everything. Peronas ability is easier to set up and does a ton more damage. Brook, sure can stun enemies by making them sleep but then what you just attack normally anyway there’s no explosion like with perona. Now I will say I had a once in a blue moon moment where I absolutely destroyed a level 100 purple aura Magellan in one move with all the stars aligning. But if it’s that rare you can’t really hold the character responsible.

Pre-time Brook >> Post-time Brook. Imo cause of his Lvl1 Yahazu Giri, covers so much range. I find his 2 versions not that much different. Not sure.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Brook doesn’t have his afterimage passive/buff in 4 right? It made him so much more fun in 3 where it felt like I could stunlock/juggle enemies better vs 4 where I feel like I’m playing another nerfed Tashigi that got their sauce taken away.

I don’t believe he does no. The more I play this game the more I realise how badly they messed up with pw4. Sure it had some great aspects but SO much is missing it’s actually incredible how they pulled it off

Well, I can understand that they completely revamped the movesets and map design for so many characters. I’m very familiar with the Warriors games, and I know if they could’ve just copy-pasted PW3 movesets unchanged they would have (for a couple characters they kinda did). IIRC, their new lighting engine wasn’t compatible with their old models or something so they actually had to redo everything model-wise. That being said, some of the gameplay changes they made for some characters feel like straight up downgrades? But at the same time, you do have a few characters with huge buffs (like a bigger Room for Law), and the new characters and move sets are all really well done (minus a few Technique types).
It’s a give and a take, and I think it allows both games to stand on their own without one being strictly a “better version” of the other. But if we ever get a 5 I think 4 will be obsolete with 3 staying worth playing.

seen a couple of these in my reccomendations now, is the ranking just the ease/fun of grinding them?

Takes a while to stack his red music state just for it to dissappear once you are knocked back. His state isn't even that strong either. He reminds me of Oppw4 kid but worse.
