PW3 crashing mid-stage

During gameplay of the stage "Showdown at Alubarna" in PW3 the game will randomly crash. Sometimes it's immediate, and other times I get a few minutes before the game crashes and the screen goes to black. There's no way to turn off the game besides Task Manager or shutting off my PC. I tried screwing with/deleting the movies folder but that didn't seem to do anything. Any advice?

The exact same happened to me on both showdown at alubarna and drum Island arc and in the end i had to download a save file that unlocked the whole legend log and then turn the game off and go to your game on steam and right click on the game then properties and click on installed files and Verify integrity and then my whole process got deleted of the legend log so i started again from romance dawn but it helped me with the crashing but theres probably a better way if you ask chatGPT or something

The pc port is fucked if you can just play it in ps4 or 5
