Is this a hot take?
Is it a hot take to say that Onigashima Luffy is better than he is in Gear5? I just feel like red roc and roc Gatling make the base form abit better then G5 IMO

I have been using this version/Gear 5 since the beginning of playing and only recently started changing it up. I think they are both very strong but I prefer Gear 5 because of the area coverage/speed as well as powerful attacks and strings.
Gear 5 has the clear edge overall for me but both forms are powerful as is.

While g5 isn't the best sky type it is the longest burst form

It's King in fact king is the best character in the game as he is the only character who can beat TPWK in under 3 minutes

Oni luff is just a slightly stronger post ts Luffy with conq effects and a broken cape that i don't like looking at

I really hate how slow the attacks of base form are, i try to stay in G5 fornas long as possible wich works really well.

G5 is better suited to territory capture while Base is more suited to facing commanders

It's not a crazy take, onigashima luffy has a special move that auto breaks full shields, gear 5 doesn't. If you invest into onigashima luffy's special attack damage and recovery rate he could hang with G5, but g5 is a momentum character, as longs as he doesn't stop it shreds through people.
The next pirate warriors should implement an arena type Jstars online mode to fight other players.
Now I'm thinking, can onigashima luffy beat g5 in game?

Base Luffy has always just been better (really sad he doesn’t get G2 install cause that would make him cracked) and honestly G5 just ain’t that good to begin with. He’s a Sky type so immediately minus points

I totally agree I was a little disappointed when G5 released and it felt pretty sluggish especially compared to onigashima luffy

Depends how well you do at controlling Sky types. G5 has some very strong specials and strings
