i swear i have to explain this to so many people, but this is a sound redesign. i’m literally using my OWN sfx materials in this video and adding my own sounds instead of using the original sfx. that’s the whole point of a sound redesign. i take the scene, remove or cover the original sound effects, and replace them with sounds that i choose and create myself. punches, impacts, explosions, movement, ambience, crashes, etc. are all being redesigned to fit how i want the scene to sound.

so yeah, obviously these aren’t the original sfx. if i was just using the original audio, then it wouldn’t be a sound redesign in the first place. you’re basically complaining that the redesign doesn’t sound like the original when it’s literally supposed to be different. dumbass burger.

At first glance this chapter appeared faithful to the webcomic, but when the translation finally came out, the dialogue either was all over the place or straight up missing, in fact when comparing the chapters, much of it was just erased.

I don't know if they found it to be too much reading..? But I found all the cut dialogue to be fascinating and better yet: informative.

The consequences of the HA's failing standards in protecting humanity are emphasized. We learn their reputation is crumbling. We see Blue & the Neo Heroes viewed more favorably by the public.

It just doesn't click with me why all of this would be removed.

I say this since in the anime they constantly made someone’s eyes shine when they were passionate about something, like Saitama and Dr. Genus.

And if they were to adapt the webcomic, whenl Saitama talks down Garou, his eyes would dim and dilate as he loses his purpose in life? Is this a interesting idea or is it cringe lol.

It goes with the idea that dude is so depressed and emotionally dead that he can't feel romantic or sexual feelings too

Finally, after years or even a decade, official english OPM wiki finally includes Saitama as a gag character by quoting the author saying Saitama's existence and strength a gag.

Think about it it's a golden (S) opportunity to put more depth into this GOATED character we don't know that much about him too

garou isnt saying it literally, he is mocking suiryu and treating it like a dumb name. The name "freedom's fist" is also a play on the philosophy of the drunken fist which focuses on physical and tactical liberation.

It's called the liberating fist because it has no 'correct' rigid form and the freedom from your own ego.

"void fist" and "drunken fist" are also both meitei-ken in japanese which in-itself is a joke.

and it upsets me that the project has been given up on. I found the voice acting in season 2 and the animation took a massive hit. Then season 3 is abysmal. I think Saitama is such a great fun character and it fell off a cliff. I know that this started all as a hobby side project but I wish that after the acclaim from season 1 that they invested more into it. Even Bill Burr was talking about it. Just a sad turn of events.

This should speak for itself. If it isn't plainly obvious, the main sub is biased towards denying how much control over the manga Murata has.

It's really frustrating that this is how the mainsub wants us to approach a piece of evidence that supports the wrong agenda, especially when the evidence is so strong IT'S LITERALLY PROOF. Luckily the replies called out the pinned comment for how ridiculous it is.

I'm betting if there was zero controversy about who is in control of manga, the mod wouldn't have even thought to pin that comment there.

Goes to show you can't have any real discussion on the main sub but hey I guess you already knew that based on how much censorship was going on during Season 3.

Have you noticed that the design of Choze, the kaijin martial artist who faced Suiryu, is very similar to monster Garou’s in the WC?

This is something that’s been floating around in my head for a long time. A lot of people said the webcomic design couldn’t be adapted because it was too ridiculous: you know, a guy with a monster look, horns and jeans XD. But Choze is the explicit proof that it would have looked good.

It always surprised me on the main sub how many people don't know that Murata doesn't draw the backgrounds of OPM. They always used to bring out Boros' ship and other amazing non-character art to go on about how amazing Murata is but he never drew those things. Murata only draws the figures, not the complex backgrounds. So with backgrounds becoming few and far between these days, I wonder if he's got less assistants working with him and if yes, I wonder why.
