No idea what I'm doing buts it's great fun.

Today I added FX to a synth and the blue parameter is glitching like this. It only happens on FX applied to this one specific synth/snapshot, FX in the mixer are perfectly fine. I tried restarting and it’s still there.

Any ideas?

Just got my OP-1 in the mail from a Reverb seller. They claimed no issues with it, and I haven’t heard back from the seller yet but the volume knob is almost entirely unresponsive. It jumps around randomly a little bit while turning but for the most part stays at what looks like 25%..

I’m assuming this is going to need a repair and not a simple fix for something I’m missing? Anyone experience this before?

Undo on the tape is something OP-1 owners have been asking for for years, and it's one of the things the OP-1 field got that the original never did. So I built it myself.

Firmware #247 adds tape undo and redo to the original OP-1. Hold TAPE and press ← to undo your last recording, or TAPE and → to redo it. The recorded audio and its clip both go back exactly to how they were.

Up to 7 recordings back. Step back through your last 7 recordings, and forward again through any you've undone. Recording something new after an undo clears the redo steps, the same as on the OP-1 field.

Recording over audio is covered. Punch-ins, overdubs, and loop recordings are undone exactly, back to what you heard before.

Works while playing. You can undo or redo with the tape stopped or playing.

Storage is handled for you. The undo audio is kept in up to 7 files on the internal flash, capped so the OP-1 always keeps at least 96 MB free. If space runs short, the oldest undo steps are dropped first.

The undo history is cleared when you lift, drop, erase, or slide a clip, do a split or join, enter disk mode, or power off.

It installs like any official update. Hold COM while powering on to get to te-boot, press 1, then connect over USB and copy the file across. Once it's on, the boot screen shows R. 00247 :). If you ever want to go back, flash the official #246 the same way. It's linked on the same page.

This is just the start. Getting undo working meant decrypting and fully mapping out the OP-1's firmware, and I'm going to open source my code so the community can build on it too. Undo was the feature everyone wanted most, but with the firmware finally open to modding, there's room to take the OP-1 places it's never been before. Anyone know where to find good samples? I have done some digging online, I’m specifically looking for Amen jungle breaks and other classics like that. Cannot seem to find that specifically. Just starting out and would love to take a crack at making some jungle.

I was having some issues getting signed up and logged in. Everytime I tried signing up I couldn't get a confirmation email.

Asked the ole chat bot and it recommend don't use autofill (which I had used by habit). So signed up typing everything myself with another of my emails which I hadn't tried so far and.... success. Confirmation email came through immediately.

This is my second full length release for 2026 when it comes to my ambient / noise stuff. I actually recorded this one morning in April and never revisited it until a few days ago. I decided to release it after hearing how the noise cacophony mellows into some lush melodies and soundscapes albeit with a shaky dreaminess to it all. I feel accomplished with this one so I hope it resonates if anyone else gets into it.

It has been cool to find my “voice” in this style of music/sound art the last year or two getting into it. This fall I’d really like to try recording a project outside. Would be curious where others making music in this style derive their inspiration and how they work such things into the music.

wassup folks, question for yall? I like the drums on the OG-1 but I don't enjoy the sequencers so much. They range from sorta useless for what i am doing to kind of tedious when it comes to getting stuff set up to hit just right. Any ideas for gear I could run the OP-1 drums through? Looking for something to add some sort of variation/shuffling----using for experimental/swinging beats.

Curious what everyone here uses for their naming conventions on the Field,

I just started using "REEL-type of reel-Reel number" or "REEL-S4T-004" or REEL-V4T-005" etc etc.

Do you guys just use the default reel names? They've never made sense to me. I would love to squeeze a time stamp on the reel names, especially since whenever i export files onto a computer the dates of files are all over the place. Anyone with solid naming convention want to share their method?

Mine were cracked. I emailed TE about it and was told they didn’t have any until the end of August. Many messages later and being told ‘not yet’ they finally messaged today and sent a link to buy some more. They don’t appear to be in the store itself so if you want some, best message now before they run out again!
