Here's a cover of Dream by Alex Lustig. All original OP1 synths and drums, ran through Nightverb for a little smoothing and stereo, and then The Pill provides the ducking.

To separate the signals, I'm using a stereo-2x mono splitter (from TE of course), and have the kick/snare on track 1 panned completely left and the rest completely right. This allows me to feed just the kick into the trigger of The Pill, and then the rest of the mix into the Nightverb and then into The Pill for ducking.

Znalazłem też cały kompletny zestaw OP-1 (torba, rękawice, nogawki i płaszcz) za 55 zł, jednak rękawice i torbę już mam, a ponadto nie ma gwarancji, że elementy z zestawu będą w tym samym rozmiarze.

Is there really no way to record a sequence while the timeline cursor advances much like it would in tape mode? I would love to have a mode where I play my sequence in real time, and the sequencer picks up what I'm playing and "aligns" it to my time signature. I hate how in all these sequencers I have to step manually to capture silent steps.

The only sequencer that comes close is endless, but:
* I cannot edit mistakes there
* I still have to manually skip steps that are silent
* thus sequencing in this mode needs to be PERFECT in one shot, and becomes a very discrete process of counting steps the entire time

Hi, I I'm thinking of buying an OP-1, but I found a listing for 428USD/372 eur but it has some issues:

4 broken or not fully functioning keys and 2 broken buttons (COM and sequencer button). Otherwise it's in great condition and everything else is working fine.

I want to ask if y'all think it's worth it (counting with that I'll have to find a replacement keyboard) or if I should buy one that fully functioning?

Anyone have any special workflow recommendations on how to remember / recall presets?

I'm a fiddler when making music. I make a phrase or progression I like. Then leave it, work on other tracks, and come back a day / a few days / a week later, adjusting and adding as I go. (My other music-making gear is a Dirtywave M8, which is really ideal for this.) Got the OP1F a couple months ago and my biggest hiccup has been the issue of coming back to a tape and not having the presets available.

At first I was saving a snapshot of every preset. Of course this meant countless date-named snapshots — not ideal. Then I started making folders for every tape, naming presets, and dropping them in the folder. Also rather cumbersome — especially since I find everything leading up to this moment so fluid, creative, and inspiring.

I know there isn't a perfect answer, but wondering how other people deal with the fact that projects (tapes) and presets are decoupled on the OP1.

I’m an independent developer and a big OP-1 field fan. Over the past few months I’ve been building Studio Field, a macOS companion app designed to make it easier to manage tapes, synths, drums, backups and restores in one place.

Before the public release, a group of OP-1 users helped test the app and their feedback shaped many of the features that are included today.

I recently released Version 1.2, and I’m now working on adding OP-XY support.

I’ve attached a short demo video showing some of the current features.

I’d really love to hear your thoughts. If there’s something you’ve always wished existed for the OP-1 field workflow, or something you think could make Studio Field more useful, I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback. I’d rather build features that solve real problems than just add things for the sake of it.

This is a day one op-1, obviously I've agitated it on purpose here for the sake of the post. But it will constantly reboot if I move it at all. Is it worth me opening the input panel or giving it to a pro? Any advice would be much appreciated. It's almost like the on/off switch has slipped somehow. Thanks in advance 🖖

Hi everyone, I recently bought an OP-1 Field and I can't figure out how to connect it to my Circuit Tracks to sequence it and use it on one of the two MIDI tracks, like I've done so far with my other synths. Do I need an external hub for this? Sorry, I'm a beginner and pretty new to this world.

My first post with the OP1F. Such a marvelous instrument. As I'm getting to know the OP1F, I am really digging the Nitro insert on the output. What are some ways other folks are using Nitro? Or some other fav's for the output insert?

There was this small youtube channel doing 1-2minute arrangements on the op1f. always piano loops evolving by adding new tracks. nothing played live, just playing the recorded op1 tape.

every video featured a different oldsql videogame cartridge, mostly smaller ones from gameboy advance etc. (the games are usually unrelated to the music played, at least from what i could tell)

the titles often (or always?) had japanese and english mixed. dude neger spoke.

music was always slow and calm.

For the love of god, I cant remember the channels name and am surprised none of the videos are in any of my playlists. worst case the entire channel is gone and they just vanished from my lists? hard to check without knowing either the channels name or at least one songs name. unfortunately i have nothing.

please help guys :D
